[ACCUTANE] Rash or purge?

I have moderate but persistent acne, so my dermatologist prescribed me accutane (isotretinoin). For the first month I was on 40mg; the second, 60; and now currently, 80mg. The first and second month were fine--or must I say, tolerable? I had dry lips, skin, hair, and my lower back ached a little. My skin cleared up a lot, but I was still breaking out a bit. My derma suggested I go up a dose (80mg).

I'm currently 20 days into this new dose. I was fine the first 10 days, my skin looked so good, but boy was I wrong. For the past few days my skin has never looked so disgusting. I don't know if it's a rash or acne, but the bumps are flesh colored and are only situated in the area adjacent to my nose. I always got acne on this area, so maybe this is what it is?--I never had these kind of bumps though. My face feels hot (especially in my 'little' trouble area), and I'm experiencing intense blushing with some blotching.

Am I just purging? I hope so, however, I feel like I'm far enough in the treatment that I won't experience a purge. I'm calling my derma tomorrow, but I want to know what you all think. Has any of you experienced this before?

EDIT: I'm attaching a photo: (sorry for the quality)

I'm not an expert, and without a photo it's hard to tell, but I'm going to say that it sounds a little like rosacea: small bumps that resemble acne, facial redness, face feeling flushed or hot, especially in the centre part of the face. Don't worry though, it's not permanent and is probably the result of the higher dosage. You can buy products designed to treat this (La Roche Posay do a range of products specifically for this type of skin concern) but you may also want to talk to your dermatologist about reducing your dosage.

Are you using a moisturiser?

@JollyhohnsonYes, I'm very diligent with my moisturizer. I attached a photo to my post.

Hmm. Since I started Roaccutane I've got a few skin coloured bumps in the two patches adjacent to my nose too, but I don't have the intense blushing or hot feeling that you do. It could be purging. It could be something else. I would ask your dermatologist.

@JollyhohnsonYou're correct! Derma said it was rosacea.
