Hey guys. So this marks the middle of week 5 on nightly Tazorac cream .05%. I've had some increased breakouts, but in terms of irritation, dryness, and redness, things haven't ever gotten that bad.
I feel discouraged because my closed comedones, which are fairly visible, haven't shown signs of even beginning to surface. I don't understand this...if my skin has been rapidly turning over for 5 weeks, wouldn't there be ANY change? Enlarged, forming into zits, falling out, anything? Here are two pictures of my chin. Image 30 (where my lips are bigger) was when I started, image 29 is now.
i've had the same issue with tazorac. constant peeling (even after using it for months and slowly building up to wearing it every other night), my skin burned and my lips felt puffy and inflamed. i looked and felt so, so awful. switched derms and was prescribed veltin which is similar but a lot kinder to my skin! my skin now only occasionally gets dry. i hate tazorac so much, it did nothing good for my skin. much happier with veltin, i can actually see results now.
