I am supposed to start accuntane in a few weeks. I have noducystic acne mostly on my cheeks and chin. I know that it is in the moderate to severe range. Other acne products haven't worked for me and my derm said I need accutane. I have been using La Roche Posay and it has dried out most of the cysts on the outside but they are definitely still under there.

I am going on a trip to visit family and my long distance boyfriend around my 3-4 week. We are taking family pictures and going out and I can cover up my current acne okayish, but I'm worried about my initial breakout. I've heard it occurs around this time? Is that true for most patients? I have a very fast metabolism if that means anything. I don't know my starting dose yet. But if that is when I should expect it to get worse, how bad is worse? And what can I do about it?

Also is accutane cheaper in certain state's like Nevada vs Maryland?
