I am on my last day of month two of accutane. Due to a ridiculously costly prescription, I switched from Zenatane to Claravis. I still take 80mg of isotretinoin every day, though. My lips are drier than the desert. I have to apply Aquaphor many times daily to alleviate the dryness! My back pain is not nearly as bad as it was at the end of the first month and I rarely have trouble when I roll over in bed or when I bend down. It also seems that the pain is less severe when I do feel it, but maybe I just have learned how to maneuver without making it worse. I have always tried to maintain good posture, but with the back pain I've noticed that I slouch and i'm trying to break that habit. I guess my scalp is drier sometimes too. And how could I forget the eczema?! It's on the back of my hands and the palm-side of my forearms, but it's nothing any product with 1% hydrocortisone cream won't resolve. My choice product is Cortizone10 (results within one hour). I don't have daily breakouts anymore. I am content with my skin, but I can't wait for the end of month three. My dermatologist always tells me that's when i'll REALLY see the desired results. At this point, I really don't see what all the rage is about. Accutane has not been very harsh on my body. Now here's a picture update. It's not the best comparison, but my entire face looks like the picture on the right. Huge Difference! Now on to MONTH THREE I go!

My ance was very severe, probably as bad as my skin was ever going to get. If i did experience an initial breakout of any kind it wasn't noticeable.

Yes! This was also one of my hopes/concerns. I read online that it did help with PIH and it does! Mine didn't take as long as other people said it would either.
