Accutane ruined my fucking life it cleared my cystic acne THATS IT! Not my regular acne aka little pimples and now I actually have a fucking cherry face that's red hot and flushed all the time I'm on doxycycline because of the antinflamitory properties and it's all bs dermatologist are fucking retarted they won't even admit accutane caused it cause I'm lying right lol anyway be careful if yur thinking about accutane please
There are many ways to reduce redness and flushing. Some people would use Afrin spray on the skin 3x/wk, use cool water soaks, have some fish oil daily to reduce inflammation, avoid sugary and processed foods etc., but you should discuss this with your doctor.
Intense pulsed light can help with redness as well, and it is among cheaper procedures done by dermatologists.
Best!
Thanks but I've already had chats with my Dermo laser is thousands of dollars and mirvaso is expensive as well antibiotics is the best I can do it's been 5 monthes post accutane it's unbelievable I even use all gentle skin stuff and the redness is still there accutane should be illegal it's fucking disturbing that this is legally sold what a bunch of freaks I was warned about suicidal behavior but not redness haha NEVER TAKE ACCUTANE SEIOUSLY I HOPE I CAN SAVE SOMEONE!!!

Have you looked in the thread of post Accutane minocycline/Accutane flushing thread. You can access it by this link!

I would advise against huge amounts of Vit A especially in retinol form. For many Omega's have been a no no and any fish oil with cod liver oil!
You can also look up Seattle Jt and Lamarr1986 who have posted in this thread.
take the time and read the thread and just know you are not alone, well you can go rounds of doctors who deny Accutane caused your issues. I advise at this point Accutane is irrelevant and you need to start focusing on the issue on hand.
Good Luck from a long time suffer

Accutane isn't a cure all for everyone. Many people have to go through 2 or more rounds of treatment before it works. For many people, they've gone from cystic acne to OTC treatable acne which is a hugeee improvement. From what I've seen, redness is a common side effect from Accutane use and itwillgo away with time.
Know that doctors willneveradmit any fault on their end, so I'd stop stressing over that factor because that probably really isn't helping your skin (stress is probably making it more flushed and causing more regular acne). Like oil girl said - the only thing you can do right now is focus on your skin because getting extremely worked up and angry over this issue isn't going to make your skin any better.
Seriously - give the redness time to fade away. Keep up with your gentle skin care routine, try some weak OTC products for your acne/little pimples. Keep a healthy/clean diet. Be aware of changing/washing your pillow covers and towels frequently to minimize bacteria build up. Just be patient with your skin. It took months to get rid of your cystic acne - it's not outrageous for it to take another couple of months for the redness to go away.
