Accutane increase risk of icepick scars?

Thinking about going on Accutane now that nearly ever pore on my chin and sides of of face is clogged. My acne is not cystic, it never comes to a white head. Just sits as an annoying little bump under the skin forever until I squeeze it out. I'm worried that when starting Accutane I will purge, and everything will come the surface as a white head, and leave me with indented acne scars or "icepick" scars. Has anyone who has taken Accutane had this experience? Is there anyway to lessen the risk of icepick scaring while on accutane, other than the obvious not picking?

as I've heard,accutane doesn't cause scars itself.
But that doesn't seem to be my case. Accutane caused my skin to peel horribly and the new skin looks a little sunken.Very little. Can be spotted those regions in harsh lighting.Looks like very shallow saucer scars.I'm hoping that my whole face gets peeled away so that atleast the skin texture would look even.

I just want the acne to be gone, but I don't know the first thing about treating icepick or indented scars.

My suggestion is,go for accutane only if your acne is scarring or has not responded to all acne treating antibiotics and topicals.
I went for accutane just because i was scarring from every single zit.Scars can be hard for a person, both physically and mentally.
So go for accutane if you are scarring.
And about the purging from accutane,it's the old acne coming to the surface, which will infact come to the surface at one point or another even if you are not on accutane.I don't want to jinx myself, but I'm on my 6th week of my accutane course(50 mg a day) and I didn't get one till today.

Accutane doesn't cause scarring. Inflammatory acne and squeezing and poking lesions will cause ice pick scars.
Accutane might cure your acne but it doesn't sound like it's necessary. Topical Tretinoin, or differin will clear up black heads and you won't go through the trouble and expense of accutane.
