Hey people, i suffered from acne for 5 years
this year i was on my second course of accutane, im not a doctor but i learnerd good things that i think can be helpful for you guys

After my first course of accutane(end of 2012) i was like 100% clear of anything i wasnt even thinking about acne, and thenit slowly started to came back after 1 week, i was desperated but the acne came back alot less severe so i was able to manage it. 2013 passed ok, in 2014 my acne worsened but was still ok and in 2015 my face exploded again so i jumped to accutane again
my dose was 40mg for 9 months now i want to share some things that i did and seems to be effective

1 - plan a post accutane regimen while on it (dont think accutane will clear you forever, these months clearwill give time to do a fresh start with clear skin)

2 - i stopped taking accutane slowly, when i was in my last month i started to take 20mg instead of 40 and inlastweek20mg every other day and then i stopped.
jumping to the highest dose to 0maybe (in my conception) can cause the body to not adapt like if you slowly stop it (i dont know for sure but i did it)

3 - when i started the accutane i stopped all acids and creams for the first 7 months, i wasnt even washing my face i basically started a caveman regimen with accutane so my skin didnt peeled and didnt became sensitive

4 - when i was like on my 7th month i started to use salycilic acid to prepare my skin for the post accutane period and to avoid anykind of initial breakout that i potentially might have if i start to use after the end of course

5 - when i was on my 8th month i started slowly putretin A(I do recommend Differin that i couldnt find here)to my face too to avoid any purging that i could have using it after the course, same with salycilyc acid.

6 - TAKE ZINC(20mg day atleast)and VITAMINC(1gday atleast) those two are primordial supplements, omega 3(fish oil) is a very good supplementtoo but ive read some reports of people breaking out with omega3(fish oil) supplements so i cant recommend for everyone.

7 - a diet with high amount ofcarbohydrates and trans fat, trans fat is an anti-nutrient, its justfucks up with your health andHIGHLY increase the risk of worsening acne, im not saying to never eat a fast food in your life, but just avoid for your own health too.

my skin is doing fine right now post accutane and im crossing my fingers that my acne will not come back and i hope i can help you guys with that info
