Hello everyone So I am on day 13 today, 20 mg for the first month, and I took your advice and started moisturizing since day 1, twice a day. My question, are you sure it is ok to moisturize even though I am not dry at all? It won't affect the healing process?
Thank you guys!
Hey i have a question ? You said persistent ? I also have persistent moderate acne , what did you try before you got it prescribed ? They havent prescribed it to me and ive tried lots of things so im wondering ehat have you tried ?
I tried everything, antibioticts, topicals like Retin-a, spotex, differin, BP, ahas and bhas creams, all the Avene range for acne, all the Uriage range for acne, salicylic acid peels, glycolic acid peels, Tea tree oil, home facial masks, vinegar toners, it has been over a year, and my derm finally decided maybe accutane! Discuss it with your derm, it can be worth it! Good luck
I was on 30mg a day, and it took around 2 - 3 weeks before everything started to dry out.
I now moisturise at least 3 times a day, and apply Vaseline to my lips every 5mins!
I would keep moisturising, it hasn't seemed to effect my healing process

Thank you, what moisturizer did you use? I broke out today, 2-3 pimples and some white and black heads, although I haven't broken out since I started accutane and I am afraid my moisturizer is clogging my pores since I am not dry? I am using jojoba oil, cerave a.m moisturizer, and sometimes the body shop vitamin E daily moisturizer. Thank you
