I am on doxycycline 50 mg a day for a little over three weeks now and have seen little improvements.I did not have any spots (apart from some tiny whiteheads) for the first three weeks.But now I have got three pustules all at once.
AND,I do know about the adverse long term effect of the antibiotics
So I just want to know how long will it take to become clear completely?

usually it takes about 2 weeks or so but you arent on a high enough dose. when i took doxy for a few years i took 100mg twice a day. 50mg a day is a pretty low dose. since you are on 50mg you shouldnt develop any sort of resistance or have issues but you can take probiotics if you are worried. just make sure you dont take both things at once or they will cancel each other out.

i dont think you will get clear on that dose. i had to take 200mg a day to get clear and even then i still got at least 1 cyst a month but at that the time it was way better than what i was dealing with.
I used to have mild acne till I started getting occasional cysts this year.But still it is mild and I have horrible hyperpigmentation problem.
So is this low dose supposed to work for my mild acne ?
