Hey everyone!

So it's been quite a while since I've been on here. Well I just took my last accutane pill tonight (5 months) and all I can say is that this has changed my life! My face is not perfect, but I have no problem confidence-wise. I would recommend it to anyone, as the worst side effect I had was probably the occasional back pain (since all of the glands dry up, your back isn't as flexible, so for example lying down caused some discomfort for the first 20 seconds but then went away). However, now that I'm off, I'm already starting to panic.

I am very afraid that my face will become oily again. I can almost handle the minor acne (I broke out only a week ago - it's bound to happen when I'm not on the medicine) but the thought of my face not being dry anymore just makes me sad. I don't want to go back to rubbing my nose and feeling all the oil. Now I know it will not be as bad as before, but with time eventually the sebaceous glands will go back to full size, correct? I mean I am now an 18 year old boy.. at what point do my hormones naturally calm down?

I ask because I leave for college in about 2-3 months, and that would be just dreadful to start off with my face being all oily and full of acne again. Like I said, I might be worrying for nothing and these fantastic results will stick. But for some reason, my anxiety is causing me to overthink it. Especially since my mom refuses to let me go on it while I'm in college...

By the way, if you have a negative story please don't post it... I feel bad for saying that but basically everything I read on post-accutane here has been problematic and has only been making my anxiety worse. However if you feel like it's essential, then go ahead.
