Hi all

Assume i was dealing with hormonal acne

tried every topical rx and otc..antibiotics etc

derm decided to put me on 6 mnth tane

during my ENTIRE course never went more than 5 days (3 sep occasions) without a new small bump/whitehead

started in Nov and had last cysts in Dec

My derm took my off tane 3 days early thinking small red bumps due to irritation and dryness

Before that i reduced my dose to 25 mg to see if i could stay on btu lower dose would reduce irritation..didnt work

since stopping tane just 3 days ago I have a few small red/whitehead on nose, chin, and jaw line

Im assuming this means tane was a fail

I know ive heard some stories of people that only stop breaking out after tane...exactly when will that happen possible...small small small sliver of hope

My dr mentioned going back on tane which I will not do

So i want to consider spiro or topicals again

Derm told me to wait until i see her next which would be the 3rd of June

any words of advice etc?
