This site is a blessing to me right now, to actually find some many people who are experiencing the same issues as me really helps. Although I don't wish it on any of you (it's still nice to know I'm not alone) selfish I know *hangs head in shame* lol.

Soooo..... I've suffered from acne since the age of 13, it started with a few pimples here and there and never really got too bad until I was about 18. My issue more than the acne is the scarring, my skin scars so badly without me picking spots. If I leave them alone I'm still left with a terrible scar which doesn't really fade. I'm not sure if it's worse because I have dark skin ( not sure if melanin had anything to do with it)

My doctor has recently put me on lymecycline tablets and Epiduo once a night cream. I take a tablet In the morning and use the Epiduo gel at night. I was using the Clinique three step prior to being prescribed the above. Does anyone know if it's safe for me to continue using the Clinique???? After using it the Epiduo burns my face like crazy and im so scared that I'm going to wake up in the morning with burn marks. Has anyone else continued to use a skincare routine while using Epiduo. Also has anyone had any reactions to the lymecycline. It took me two weeks to start the course as I was so scared of what I read online about them. I have had no side effects but I'm not sure if it kicks in after a few weeks....... Any advice is welcome ...... Please help

I'm currently trying lymecycline and have been taking it for about 4/5 weeks now. I don't have any side affects but my acne did flare up around the third week, I don't know if it was connected to the lymecycline though. Anyway, my acne has started to change over the last couple of days, only slightly but there is improvement. im sticking lymecyline out to see what happens because I hate constantly changing antibiotics. I always feel cheated that I have to start waiting for improvements again from the beginning :/

That's good to know, when I read some of the reviews I had scared myself into thinking that I was going to have uncontrollable diarrhoea and stomach cramps. It was nearly enough to stop me from taking the tablets. What is your skin care regime along with the Lymecycline ??? And did the docs prescribe you with a cream aswell or just the antibiotics. I'm going to stick this one out too. Although I woke up with two spots under the skin on my chin this morning and I haven't had any spots there for a long while.

I was just wondering what your outcome is so far as I've recently stated taking Limecycline and using Epiduo. However, I should mention my bad skin was actually caused originally by Clinque products. I used the 3 step anti-blemish range by itself and I found that my skin was forming types of spots that I never actually had. Before the product my spots weren't bad at all, i had a few here and there but nothing too major. After 5 weeks of using clinique I decided to stop using it as I saw no improvement at all, and my spots got worse. My doctors have been really good in supporting me through this, because although my acne is only mild, it has still had a profound impact on my confidence. So you may want to consider using something other than clinique! I've started using a more natural range from Holland and Barrett called Dead Sea Spa Magix. It's unbelievably gentle and I got the set at around 30!
