Since i went to the office on Friday for my pg test, Im afraid if they send in a new script and the med isnt in until Monday will I have issues picking it up plus Ill be w/ out over the weekend

wondering now if i should try the 75 mg a day or I can take 50mg one day and 75 mg the next which will average out to 60mg

BUT I really just wanted ot keep everything level at 60mg as it seems by body adjusted to to it

I can either dump up and try 75mg..lower my dose to 50mg

OR alternate 75mg/50mg

anyone have any thoughts?

Hang in there! I've heard some derms perscribe the same ammount regardless of weight severity etc so I don't know how accurate the cummulitative dose calc really is. What did derm actually say to you in response to the whole shpiel? I know it sucks and is uncomfortable when you feel like you have a grasp on the meds and the doc does s/t different but I'd just trust them they went to med school for this stuff and I'm sure you're not your derms first accutane patient.

I would rather a longer smoother ride....My knees started bothering me the other day and they have really been hurting..going down to my foot/toe

BUT of course i could hack it for another few mnths

My Dr never called me back herself or answered my email...it was the nurses

Now almost feeling a tad guilty..because i am sure as heck I am pissing them off

BUT I also feel they want the highest dose and to fry my skin to make sure its gone for good...maybe if it doesnt work ill blame them and bad mouth the practice

it just seems odd no wiggle room..regardles of the severity etc etc same dosing and same duration

I'm terrfied to say anything but although I am still breaking out...Over the last two days I cannot say that I am not surpirised at how quick my left cheek is clearing...it was a wreck and I don't know when it happened but at some point over the last two days there has been a significant change...The BEST part of this is that I know two days can make a huge difference. This is my first positive report and it feels really good to write It is REDICULOUS how quick my cheek cleared i got a ton of compliments on it today...

Not to get carried a way that huge blip on my lip is disgusting (not so painful anymore) and my other cheek is sstill a wreck with a monster cyst on it! However RREEAALLLY POSITIVE right now b/c I have seen first hand how quick it can turn around!

ps. I'm a huge self-critic and if I am wrtiting like this it means it's a legit turn-around.

Kim,...I can relate to that feeling more then you know and don't get me wrong.- although my right cheek improved my face is still overall extremely shitty...i aint leaving you behind for the perfect skin club...it was just great to see how quick extremely shitty was able to change to somewhat shitty...super positive experience. HEADS UP!

Hi guys!! Today I'm halfway through my course!! Which means that from tomorrow on there's less to come than done! My skin is definitely smoother and softer. I can't stop rubbing gently my finger over it.... I hope this won't break me out! I haven't had any bad breakout in the last days. Im seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I still have a lot of red marks but its nothing compared to the inflamed and crusty zits I had. It's so good to wash my face without feeling bumps everywhere! i might still breakout soon but I don't really care because I can now have an idea of how it will be in the end.

Derp: I'm happy for you! I can totally relate to things changing overnight! I could almost write down the hour my skin turned to the good side. Don't want to celebrate too early neither but hey that's good to be positive so let's enjoy it!!!

Kim: you're not doing anything wrong. Just be patient. the day you will start improving is close and can come very quickly!!! Hang in there!!

I just had a bad day yesterday..I knew things would get worse before better

it was just a bummer that they started to improve than went down the tubes again..LOL

I didnt use any moisturizer am or pm yesterday and my skin is barely flaky

wondering if I could get away with oil cleanser and humidifier...just want to lay low on the hydration just in case for a few days

Well since that overnight (relative) clearage of my left cheek things have since stopped at a standstil....I was sort of hoping for that to be the defining moment in which my face would rapidly clear....humph!!

well at least not really getting anything new...that huge zit on my lip dried up and was hanging off by a tiny thread of skin so i slowly pulled it and dragged onto my lip causing me to make a nice red peel through my upper lip...so that's cool.

it's been a looong process....blegh blegh blegh

Sorry derp things arent improving as fast as u hoped...but at least not getting worse

I know its a stretch here to feel optimistic

I decided to forgo all moisture and i think my skin is doing better

slight slight flaking but not much that I can brush off after a shower

I did get a nice new scary bli on my hair line..thankfully its to the side and my hair pretty much covers it

but im getting these painful red blips that come out of nowhere and hurt like a cut..it slike I messed with it when I didnt even touch it

I got lazy with the vaseline and hands/arms have been hurting again

about it..and our big blizzard wound up being about 3 inches

Just wanted ot add that I was taking my 60mg dose as 20mg/3x day

I kept forgetting my mid day dose

and I was also reading accutane doses should be split into 2 doses a day (though my Dr said take it anyway u want as long as u get the mg per day)

So last few days I have been taking 20mg am and 40mg pm

well I am officially flaking a little (thank u thank u thank u)

IDK if it is the difference in the way I am taking the med or the 60mg (which Ive been on a few weeks now) is catching up to me

well I have a humidifier coming and I am on my last day of 60mg

so Im going to alternate starting tomorrow 50/75mg

wish me luck

Only new news to report is over the weekend I got 2-3 flat red marks that were sore/almost like a cut

they went come and go pretty quickly..have no idea what it/they are

I hope you're doing fine. Short update: my skin is still getting better and I had just a small new one that I really don't care about on my left cheek. I feel as if my skin was under control now.. we will see! I stopped using my humidifier last weekend (due to some mold appearing by the window) and I don't know if it's just a coincidence but my skin is waaaay drier. I have a dry patch under my chin. I think I'll start moisturizing at night too and maybe I'll use the humidifier again but I'll just wipe the water on the window in the morning. Kim: if you use a humidifier, make sure you wipe any condensation in the window. I had not thought about it before and when I looked, I was shocked. It was not a fun thing to clean up.

well my luck sucks

IDK bad timing but decided to try a different moisturizer just to be sure what I was using wasnt causing issues

the first day was GREAT (it was another LRP)

The second day one blip and today my forehead exploded..cant even count

I dont normally break out on my forehead and the entire time on tane I havent had any issues in this area

I also ran out of 60mg pills

so have been alternating 75/50

I have been much drier..dont know if it was bad timing and as tane has made its way around my forehead ..it didnt want to leave my forehead out of the fun

Not too far from the 3 week mark..fingers crossed Im headed to the other side soon

I also broke out horribly on my forehead since tane. I had maybe 5 pimples on this area in the last 5 years! Since Tane, maybe 10 and horrible ones! They were very inflamed and took forever to heal. At least they are just red marks now that are slowlyyyy fading away.

Dont give up Kim! I've started seeing results after 6 weeks on 60 mg... I know we are all different but your day is coming. I'm talking as if I was healed but don't get me wrong... The battle is not over yet but I feel 10000 times better and I don't really care now about how my face looks. Im not embarrassed to go out or to look at people in the eyes and that feels sooooo good!!!

Knowing what i know now I might have just started on 40 or 60 for duration.... but it is what it is....

I feel, for some, increasing dosage causes an IB each time or your body is always adjusting

I plan to stay on 60mg (or 75/50 for the duration

Most of my foreheads bump on my hairine but the sucker right in the center of my forehead is a little upsetting

Just wanted to add I have constant green eye gunk today

Maybe I won a battle (on the forehead front) but not the war!! I had a couple new (but small) ones on my face (2 on the right cheek, 1 on the left one, 1 on the chin)... It doesn't really bother me but I'm concerned about having more red marks on my face... I guess it's part of the game.

they are red and smallish (some med sized)

BUT why why why at 10 weeks

I did try a new moisturizer last night (my 3rd in 10 weeks..the first made me red and was not heavy enough..second was great but thought might be too heavy)

I dont think it has anything to do with it

BUT between yesterday and today I must have at least 5-6 new spots
