Hi There!

Here is a big warning to all of those people out there, who think about taking Roaccutane (Isotretinoin).

It ruined my life! The side effects where horrendous while taking it (sun sensitivity, melanoma in the face, dry lips and eyes).

I stopped the medication about 6 months ago and still loose hair every day. It became brittle and I am on the way to become bold with the age of 35.

The dermatologist is not admitting that it is due to that drug, and the pharmaceutical industry and their employers don't want to know anything about my personal ordeal-in the end, you are just a number.

I am on Minoxidil and Spiro, hoping that some miracle happens, but if I could turn back time, I would never ever take this monstrous drug! Oh, by the way, the acne came back anyway. I lost my job, my confidence and my joy of life! Rather having some pimples in the face than going through all this!

Please think: is it really worth putting those nasty chemicals inside your once so healthy body?!!!

Don't for one minute that spiro is any better. It also can cause hair loss. Chemicals are chemicals but i agree that accutane is way harsh. Hopefully your body can bounce back from this (it's amazing how the body heals when it has the right combination of things to do so)

Good Luck

I agree with the above poster. While hair loss is a rare, but not unheard of, side effect of Accutane, it is a very common side effect of spiro. Although the Accutane may have played a role in some hair loss, it is more likely that the spiro is what is causing you to continue to experience this issue. So I think further investigation is warranted before deciding on "poison" status.
