When Does Facial Redness From Accutane Go Away?

My face has a permanently red tinge from taking only 40 mg / day of Accutane (I weigh 160). And my dose is increasing to 100 mg pretty soon. I have two questions:

1) Did any of you experience facial redness on Accutane?

2) How long after your course ended did it recede? In some cases did it not receed it all?

Thanks.

Mine receded after about 2-3 months and I'm very pale so it was very visible. Are you talking about redness from the dry skin or from the old acne?

I have the same problem. I take 60 mg per day and I'm red on my cheeks and nose. Pretty much looks like I have a sunburn all the time. It could be caused by the sun because even if the UV rays are not as high you're skin is very prone to burning now that you are on Accutane. Just put cold compresses on your face to sooth the redness, that's what I do.

Thanks for the responses guys.

It's unfortunate, really. Getting facial redness was the one thing I was afraid of above all else, as I'd read some scary stories about the redness not going away once the course was over. The original plan was to stay on 40 mg/day for the entire course to avoid it and other side effects, which is quite a low dose for my bodyweight. But now that the jig is up I might as well increase my dose and go full steam to get this Accutane thing over with as quickly as possible.

And no, I'm not prone to flushing or facial redness. I've never had any problem of the sort until now.
