So, my doctor perscribed me Acanya. I start it tonight. Ive done a little research on it, and it seems that most people's dermatologists perscribe something along with Acanya, but my doctor didn't.
I have mild acne, but never a clear face. I always have about 4 or 5 pimples on my face, and as soon as they clear up I get more. I've tried millions ove otc products, but none help. My question is.. Will Acanya help prevent my acne even if my doctor didn't perscribe something to go with it?
It could work by itself. The problem with topicals is that for some people they can take months to clear up. The derm could have prescribed you oral antibiotics for a few months until the topicals had their chance to works. Then you would have to stay on the topicals until your acne went away by itself, which who knows when that would be.
