I'm 3 weeks into my isotretinoin treatment - the drug I've actually been taking is called Epuris which is just a new form of Accutane.
My acne stayed about the same/got worse the first few weeks - today I think it is beginning to turn around. At least I didn't wake up with any new zits!
I was wondering what people have experienced in terms of skin texture/blackheads though. I've noticed my skin feels super coarse, especially in my T-zone. It feels like I really need to exfoliate (which obviously I can't) and my blackheads seem to be huge. Will the isotretinoin take care of these blackheads eventually too? Do they tend to take a little longer to get rid of?
Any info or tips about what to expect over the next few weeks would be appreciated! 
it feels coarse because they are starting to be pushed out, that actually will happen, the pores purge themselves...the lucky ones just have the plugs come out, the unlucky ones have a very very very very very very very nasty initial breakout (yep that was me, for 7 months- hence the 7 verys!)...just leave it alone, you can't exfoliate, but you will notice with just gentle washing with your fingers they will just start to fall out

I'm on week 5 (40mg /day / 65 kgs), moved up to 50 (today).
Anyway, my skin texture is getting better and better. My old one was terrible. All my blackheads are being pushed out and the holes that are left are shrinking a lot. Before, they didn't even look like blackheads, but its like Accutane opened the skin to them and now their coming out
Thank you both! The past couple of days I've had a few more zits pop up so I guess I'm not as done with that part as I thought haha. Good to know that the blackheads will eventually push out though! Soooo tempting to squeeze them.
You acne may persist until 3 months.
Don't squeeze them. It will leave large holes, even if you push them till blood comes out.
Having them come out looks disgusting, but its definitely worth it.
