Hey guys, I have two questions for you:
1. Is it likely that the extremely dry lips I'm experiencing at the moment could be in any way related to the Dianette I'm taking? Has anyone else experienced this with Dianette or any other birth control?
2. Does anyone have any recommendations for a lipbalm that is really moisturising (my lips are currently in tatters) but that won't break me out? I tried the original Vaseline thinking that petroleum jelly should be non-comodogenic but unfortunately it made me break out in little whiteheads at the corners of my mouth. I don't really have any idea what else to try because I am absolutely paranoid about causing any new breakouts now that my acne is finally getting under control for the first time.

I have the same problem with my lips (actually, I've always had super dry lips...), but I don't think it's a result of bcp (or at least never heard about dry lips as side effect of bcp). There could be many underlying causes, like some vitamin B2 deficiency, harsh weather conditions, constant licking... Myself, I can't find the cause, but have found some pretty good methods you can try for your lips 
1. Take some ecological honey, put it on your lips and lets it stay for a while. After you wash it off (or...lick it off, yummy), take an old toothbrush and gently brush off the dead skin. Finally, just put on some Blistex.
2. I got a herbal cream that's supposed to treat cold sores, but it's really good for simply cracked lips. The active ingredient is echinacea purpurea oil, which works amazingly. Just find some lip balm which includes echinacea, I think you shouldn't break out from it, since it's supposed to calm inflammation, not cause it.

Thank you so much for the suggestions Pianina! I don't really know what the cause is either but I often seem to have really dry lips and can't seem to find a lipbalm that doesn't cause me to break out around my mouth. I'll definitely give your methods a go though. 
I take a generic version of Diane and I've been on it for about 4.5 months now, but I haven't noticed my lips getting dry? Perhaps the weather has been kind of cold and dry recently? I'm from Canada so my lips are constantly chapped but it happens every year when winter is starting to approach. A really good lip balm is Burt's Bees, I dunno if it's in the UK? I'm not sure what the ingredients are...but it's all natural and uses (organic?) honey and everything...but I dunno if it's comodogenic or not. But I have fairly sensitive and acne-prone skin and it doesn't seem to affect me?

Yeh you might both be right about there being no connection with the Dianette but I thought I'd ask in case anyone else had experienced the same thing. It has recently got a lot colder here so that might be what's doing it. We do have Burt's Bees in the UK but I've never tried it before. I'll definitely try to pick some up next time I'm in town though. Thanks for the recommendation!
I have this problem too! I was thinking it was related to winter but I usually don't have such persistently dry lips in the winter actually. Anyway, things that have been helping are Lypsyl and Carmex lip balms. They're pretty cheap too, I bought bought of them for something like a dollar a piece.
I didn't experience dry lips on Dianette, but I just finished my course of Accutane so I've become a bit of an expert on lip balm (I'm also in the UK).
Burt's Bees is the best (the honey flavour seems to work best if you have a choice) and I've used that religiously these past months.
The other thing I used was Blistex Relief Cream. I only used to apply it before bed because it makes your lips look white but it makes them feel completely normal again if they're chapped.
Both are available from Boots (and I've tried literally every lip balm in Boots, these are definitely the best)
