my doctor prescribed this to me and ive been using it for a week now. i was wondering if anyone can tell me what the tretinoin will do to skin in the near future? and if these two treatments have helped anyone else who was also prescribed to it?

My derm prescribed me those two too. I was put on 100mg and I think it helped somewhat but now I'm on 50mg and its just not working out. I'm on my second month. As far as the tretinoin, I stopped using it because I hated how it makes you break out. If you read the prescription information it actually says your skin will be worse for 8-12 weeks. I was like hell no am I doing that. It's just not worth it to have my skin go through hell for 12 weeks. The tretinoin gave me huge nodular pimples that hurt and stayed there for weeks at a time. I'm going on accutane soon anyways so I'm not doing the tretinoin any more.

Exactly! My doctor prescribed itto me during the beginning of summe and I wasnt going ti soend this summer with myskin all sensitive to sunlight and with even more breakouts than before starting the tretinoin. I stop using that but the minocycline helped a lot. Please keep me informed on how your acne has reacted with the accutane. And thank you for replying to my post :).
