Hey guys!

I've had acne since I hit puberty. I'm 21 now, and I have no idea what my face looks like without acne on it. Here is me without makeup on a normal day, so you know where I'm starting from:

Most of my acne is on my cheeks and jawline - the rest is on my forehead and chin. It's all very cystic and gets inflamed easily. There is also a lot of scarring, but at this point I am more concerned with getting rid of the acne.

In the past 10 years I have tried:

Topical Prescriptions: Acanya Gel, Accutane, Aczone, Benzefoam, Differin, Duac, Clindamyacin, Tazorac,

Oral Prescriptions: Dexamethazone, Doxycycline, Minocycline, TriNessa, TriSprintect, BeYaz, Spironolactone

Over the Counter Products: Paula's Choice line, Cetaphil, CeraVe

Household remedies: Dan's regimen, honey mask, aspirin mask, Vitamin E, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Chromium, Zinc, lemon juice

The total number of different doctors I've seen for this (dermatologists, endocrinologists, OBGYNs) now exceeds 16, and it's starting to get to the point where when I go into the doc's office they don't know what to do anymore. So I've decided to go at this with my own approach and keep a log. I'm going to try a new combination of things every 6 weeks and keep a log of it here.

Here's the current routine I'm testing here:

Morning:

Wash face with CeraVe cleanser and Mia brush (sensitive head)

Wash face with Murad (1. 5% Salicylic Acid), Rinse

Apply Aczone, wait 30mins

Take oral Solodyn (65mg)

Apply Differin, wait 15mins

Apply CeraVe AM Moisturizer (SPF 30)

Evening:

Wash face with CeraVe cleanser and Mia brush (sensitive head)

Wash face with Murad, Rinse

Apply Aczone, wait 30mins

Take oral Kelnor (birth control)

Take oral Spironolactone (50mg)

Apply Differin, wait 5mins

Apply Clyndamyacin, wait 15mins

Apply CeraVe PM Moisturizer & Clinique Moisturizer

Besides all this, I'm also taking Vitamin E, Fish Oil, Vitamin C, Chromium, Zinc, Vitamin B Complex, and Vitamin D3 twice a day.

This is me after the first week on all of this stuff:

Not too much of a difference yet. No cysts have gone away, but some swelling has gone down. I have noticed 6 new cysts forming since I started (2 on forehead, 3 on cheeks, 1 on chin)

I can tell a difference! You may want to give it longer than 6 weeks. I would do 12 and then decide. (Thats just my opinion. I only say that because I guilty of not giving things long enough to work) Also how long were you on Accutane?

Not sure if you still go on here, but my skin is very similar to how yours was in those pictures and I'm wondering if the spiro has helped in the long run.

Wow, our history is kind of similar. I really like your skin regime, why did you decide to try each product and in that certain combination?

I have really oily skin and the clyndamicin only made it worse, so after a couple of months I stopped it. I was on the Differin for 8-9 years with Duac and it was OK but not perfect. I never really liked the Murad products as they only made my skin worse many years ago, I don't know if they've improved their formula since then. As for the other products you're using I've never tried, but I have my fingers crossed for you. What do u think about my regimen :)?
