Hi all. I finished 8 months course of accutane 2 months ago. Since then, my skin is oily again and I have mild breakouts. I want to ask, can I use Retin-A Gel lowest percentage% (eg 0.01%)
And most important question you will have an initial breakout with Retin-a 2-3 months after I was on accutane?
Is it a good option for the maintenance of skin? Thank you all!
Using retin-a after an accutane course is usually normal. You may get an initial breakout, but it is typically temporary. It is possible that you can get an antibiotic (topical or oral) to lessen the impact of the initial breakout. Also I have read that you may respond to the retin-a better after going through a full course of accutane compared to people who have not had a full course of accutane..something about how accutane permanently changes our pores.
