I agree with the above...
You should use a very gentle, simple cleanser (I use CereVe) and a good, simple moisturizer( CereVe moisturizing cream (in the big tub. I LOVE IT) at night and Cetaphil daily moisturizer with spf for day). That's it. It's really hard to resist the temptation to use some sort of topical or something when all the nasty, oozy zits come out at first and when your skin might be kinda oilier than normal....Before the dryness kicks in. Keep it basic, you will be happy you did!
Of course everyone reacts differently to accutane but basic, no frills skin care is pretty standard.
Oh, but I will say that I have found that neosporin cream (not ointment) does WONDERS on a gross zit, and it won't harm your skin. Some people swear by aloe but I like this better.
Good luck and if you have any questions feel free to message me! I'm on month 3 and I have a log as well if you are interested.

My Dr said I could continue to use DUAC (benzoyl peroxide/clindamycin) gel whilst on accutane, although I haven't felt the need. I have used a bit of 10% BP cream on my face when I've had some spots that look particularly angry. The problem is accutane really dries the skin and adding BP and aggressive face washes/cleansers just makes it worse.
I've used a really mild moisturiser on a couple of occasions when my skin has looked really flakey..... but I found I ended up with numerous blackheads the following days after application, so I think it is very important to pick one which doesn't cause blocked skin/blackheads.
