As much as my hair went more frizzy, got dryer after Tane, I also got unwanted hair growth too - on back and shoulders etc
On another note, Ive just completed third stage of brain work with kinesiologist, Im doing much better cognitively but there is still some fog lingering,We need to go back and do some more gut work - I suspect the gut/brain relationship needs to be worked on.
I know this much, the worse I feel in the gut, the worse isthe brain fog!!
I'd try a 10% sulphur soap for the scalp itch. What gets rid of the itch will hopefully stop the hair loss too. Can't say the exact mechanism, but the itch could come from increased yeast feeding on whatever is secreted from the pores on your scalp (this secretion being increased post accutane), this could also cause hair loss. It would be treating the itch as early stage dermatitis (or something similar), this may not be the case but figure it's worth a shot before trying any immunosuppresives.. The sulphur soap would ideally keep the yeast under control(daily use) until the root cause is taken care of.
You may have already tried equivalent medicated shampoos such as Nizoral, if no improvement was seen from these then I think the sulphur soap would be less likely to work, so please disregard if that is the case.

I would try the following(not all at the same time). Topical niacinamide (helps with sunburn and lightening redness), tea tree oil(you might be sensitive so go easy, may need diluting (in another oil).. I was able to use it neat but I wouldn't try more than a drop at first and not on your face in case you do not react well to it.. I had success in clearing some persistent rosacea like redness that I developed after sun exposure some years back(might be worth trying other options first as would no longer be my first go to)), the good old 10% sulphur soap (in case bacteria/yeast is in someway at play), topical coconut oil(good for sunburn, plenty of protective saturated fats and also at least somewhat protective when in the sun. Careful where you apply as it may block pores in some; around the eyes being especially prone to this; I used to have this issue but no longer do, I speculate that what might be perceived as blocking may be some clearing process or displacement of less desirable fatty acids.. but idk so better safe and slow than all-out and possibly ending up sorry), and lastly, perhaps Shea butter(also sun protective, seems to be quite nutritionally dense which might aid in repair, shouldn't block pores.. I went off it due to a less favourable fatty acid profile than coconut oil and due to its beta-carotene content).
Some ideas, hopefully something is at least of some help. Prefer organic unrefined products where possible and/or applicable.
Please research anything I suggest prior to use. I'm sure it should go without saying, but always best to be well informed before self-experimentation. Best of luck :)!

Look up a medication called Xeljanz. It can vastly reduce inflammation/ gut issues, which will stop brain fog along with most other accutane side effects. I will be trying it out in a few weeks

Im a bit sceptical to be honest, mostly used for arthritis conditions and ulcerative colitis from what I can tell, neither of which I have
having said that, happy to see it work for tane victims - let me know how you go with it

Why would you want to be taking an immune suppressing drug in a middle of a virus pandemic, but anyway please let me know how you get on! If it works for you I may give it ago, but I would not want to risk it right now with a virus going around.
I'm getting a hair transplant shortly, to restore my hairline which I've lost due to accutane.
@Owen2000 , do u get itchy scalp as well?

I literally work with this drug used for Rheumatoid arthritis among other things. DO NOT take this stuff. My job is to document adverse reactions for a post surveillance study. You do not want to be taking this, lol. Jesus. I know we are all desperate but this is a bit much.

I'll take it for a month, then get off of it. Who knows, my immune system might go back to normal during that time period. Also I totally understand your warning against the drug, it's just that my joint pain and hairloss are both becoming unbearable.

Yes I did. You can buy Nizoral Anti dandruff shampoo in any supermarkets and pharmacies.
It worked well for me, it got rid of my dandruff caused by accutane and my itchy scalp has now gone away. I did need to use this twice though to completely get rid of it. Now I no longer use it.
Ive just started using minoxidil for my hair thinning and Im going to get a hair transplant for my hairline next month!

Try aloe vera on the scalp, it helped with my itch alot
Took my first Xeljanz dose today, an immuno suppressant, and my itching on the scalp has disappeared. I'll have to wait a few days to know for sure if my hairshedding has stopped or not. But I don't recommend taking Xeljanz due to the potential side effects. I'm only taking it because over 50% of my hair has fallen in 3 months, so I had to act quick to stop it. I'll keep everyone updated on if Xeljanz stops my hairloss, but it's looking optimistic as of right now.

You may find a similar result from antibiotics, something to consider.

Strange. I also had a dream last night but now that I think about it, is the first I've I had in a long time. Maybe my immunesuppressor is working.

Just cant be sure on the retinol replenishing
I remember getting mouth ulcers not long after finishing Accutane course.
ive read mouth ulcers can be attributed to too much Vit A. They can also be attributed to lack of Vit B too
So yeah its still not conclusive- either too much Vit A in body or not enough???

Yeah I dont think there's too much of anything now as obsorption seems somehow restricted, low d low b12 etc, something causing a lack of vitamins in general. Have had mouth ulcers after too i think mine were due to running on empty, but can't be certain.
Been two weeks on Xeljanz to treat my hairloss. I am 100% sure the itching has ceased. Also, the individual strands of hair have greatly thickened up. The shedding is still at an abnormal rate but I feel it is slowing down, I'll have to wait a few weeks longer to make sure. No noticable side effects from the medication, but my sex drive is definitely way higher than even before accutane which is nice. Maybe ED is also linked to inflammation? Who knows...
I'm also starting sebowash tomorrow, a topical steroidal shampoo which may slow the shedding down temporarily while Xeljanz absorbs into my body more (Xeljanz takes 1 to 2 months to start fully working). And I'm going to be taking a liver cleanse pill starting tomorrow also, tho I'm sure it's just pseudoscience but I figure I might as well give it a go
Supplements
Kyolic original 4/day
Defatted beef liver 6/day
Diet
Omnivore
Organic when possible
Deodorant
None
Water treatment
Ecopure chlorine filter/water softener
That's the program currently. Retinol rich whole beef liver simply isn't doable. Liver Needs to be defatted to remove the retinol. Only negative right now is detox insomnia, which I believe will eventually go away as accutane is slowly replaced with true vitamin A over time. Organic carrot juice, sweet potatoes, and squash are all good for pro vitamin A support without the negative effects of retinol. Albacore and shrimp for necessary dha. It feels like my midsection is slowly being liberated. Will keep the board posted on progress.
Vitamin c rich organic orange juice is good for mouth sores, as is kyolic garlic. Take care.
