I am a 29 year old male who has had acne issues since age 14. Even into my adult years it has been moderate although much better than as a teen.
I started the regimen in 2004 and saw fantastic results within a few weeks. I have more or less stuck with it since then (Big ups to Dan, btw, who I have never thanked but the system works!). Whenever I would slip during this time, I would have breakouts, indicating that the acne was still an issue, and that the regimen was keeping things under control.
About 2 months ago, I started taking Wellbutrin. For the last six weeks or so, I have used BP infrequently, and not at all with the last 3 weeks. The strange thing is, I have not had a single zit for several weeks. This is very abnormal, as I would still get small outbreaks of 1 or 2 pimples even when on the strict regimen.
I have heard that Wellbutrin increased acne for some, but has anyone else had the opposite effect?

While I was on Wellbutrin, my acne got much worse. I don't know whether the two were related, but it's one of the reasons my doctor took me off of Wellbutrin. I read about cases of Wellbutrin worsening acne, but I've never heard of it improving acne. However, we all react differently, and if it's not making anything worse, then that's good news!
I think the wellbutrin has helped my skin clear up too. I was just doing a search to see if that was common and landed on this page. I have been more clear than usual. I have also been more horrible about washing before bed etc. That is usually a given that I will see outbreaks in a few days to a week. I have to wonder if the wellbutrin is what is helping. It is the only change that has occurred.
