Does desonide cream 0.05% help with acne?
if you have pustles, then no. But if you have inflamed skin, then yes, but only temporary. I read online that some people have put their inflammation into remission by using steroids such as desonide, so maybe you will have a good reaction to it.
This is a prescription topical steroid. In general, steroids aren't typically used for acne, unless it is a special circumstance and your doctor feels this is necessary.
If you have acne and are looking for an effective treatment, check out Dan's regimen and see what you think.
No prescription necessary.
Hope that helps!
First off, steriod creams are not indicated for acne treatment.
Secondly, you can really screw up your skin by using them. Just do a search on this forum for "hydrocortisone", "steriod" and "steriod induced rosacea" and you will see the horror stories and the deep regret people have for ever putting this stuff on their skin.
I have used this cream during severe breakouts but I was told by my doctor that this cream only works for the redness caused by your acne and it works pretty fast too, but if you want something for the acne ask your doctor about Finacea 15% cream or gel, that's a miracle cream for acne.
