Gracie, i think you need to remember when you begin shedding it can often be a sign that something IS working. About 25% of people are like this. You need to stick with things and push through the shedding.
P.s. I can also say the aloe makes my hair much softer. I am doing very well on my regime. Laser system, plus steroids, plus some essential oils like emu oil and jojoba.
My hair is far better than it was a year ago. My shedding begins picking up as soon as i stop the steroids though. All the other things help reduce the shedding slightly and increase regrowth and strength of my hair. To look at me you would never know i have any hairloss.
Yea gracie liek lamarr said, you have to stick with it. Try not to use aloe that much gracie, ebcause remember the more you touch your hair the more you will loose, just try to apply it 2 times a week . I am having tons of shedding and tons of regrowth but that is the new hairs pushing through, if i run my hand in my hair i can feel like i have 2 hair cuts, longer( 1 inch long hair) and shorter like quarter of an inch with it, it spikes a lil. So there is somethig happening. I am going to give rogaine and go to, it can only help the situation i will use it and aloe to see how that combination works out.

Mikey it sounds like you get exactly the same response to aloe as i do to emu oil!! the way you describe it is just the same...
Has anyone ever noticed if wearing a hat increases the amount of hair loss. It seems like I lose more hair on days when i wear a hat, am I just imagining this?
Also, I just moved from a moderate climate to a freaking hot climate and was wondering if the heat has any affect on hair loss.
Yea, I should give emu oil a try to see if it will do something for me. Also i wanted to ask you, i am doign some body building and will that help the situation or make it worse?
In my opinoin, because the hairloss is inlfammatory and because it isn't related to hormones, weightlifting actualyl helps things.
Resistance training is actually imunosupressive, which is just what we want!!

You probably just noticed the hairs collected in the hat, it will also keep hairs which would of fallen out during the day connected to your scalp.
I did notice the heat made mine worse, wether that was coincidental i don't know. I have actually heard people say the same thing. Maybe it is due to vasodialation which allows more immune cells to move into location so to speak.
Hey everyone, just wanted to report that I've been on minox (lots of it.... I go through about a bottle of it per week because I cover the whole scalp) and goldwell hair spray in addition to all the other crap i've been using (refer to my previous posts) and have definately noticed some positive results. My hair shed increased for a little while but now it's definately decreased again back to where it was in May- I lose maybe 30-40 in the morning when I put the rogaine in and another 30-40 total from showering, second rogaine application and goldwell application. I lose very few during the course of the day and my itching seems to have mostly stopped. More importantly, I'm regrowing thick hairs on my temples (they came in super fast actually). Not sure about the top of my scalp, but I think that at the very least the thickness of my hairs are increasing up there because the bald spot seems to be less noticible. Needless to say, i'm going to continue doing what I do here for another year or so (it isn't that hard) and report back about once monthly. I'm pretty happy at the way things seem to be going now but judging from may I know it might just be a cycle or something so i'm not popping the champagne yet. The aloe is an interesting idea- I might give that a try in another few weeks or so. I think that the combination of rogaine and T-Flavanone from the goldwell spray may be working miracles for me, or at the very least giving what hair I have more thickness and volume, etc. Also I should point out that my hair does not appear to be growing strangely (in the wavy pattern) anymore- it seems to be back to straight again.
For girls and guys alike, hang in there, it will eventually sort itself out with continued care. It's been 11 months since my last dose of accutane and it just now appears to be recovering decently (and I still lose about 100-150 each day). Don't stress out over it and make sure you're healthy otherwise.
hey guys, i just wanted to see how everyone is doing.
i'm still losing hair, but it's not to bad, and i don't think i lose enough on a daily basis to make any difference to my hair. i've been losing since feb 07 and still have a thick head of hair so i've just been blocking it out my mind. i hope you all recover.
hey guys, just wanted to share my progress with you guys. so far nothing seems to help or work for me yet, but im still consistent applying lidex topical solution. i lost overall 50% of volume of my original density but still have enough hair to be properly disguise. like david i am trying my best to block this problem out of my head so good luck to ya.
Hi guys..its 6th month since i stopped...my shedding has reduce much too...i took a 8 month course n freak out totally, that i left the course not completing it....
and it took 6 months after stopping to lesser the effect...so most probably i guess...it might take me 8 months for healthy growth.....and i am glad i stop early....hair loss is indeed more scary than face issues after i experience it...i was once a bushy hair guy but now my hair thin so much....
i have moved to a regimen w doxy assistance for my skins..and i have not regretted leaving early of accutane...
but i do heard other ppl are doing better...w accutane...hair loss might not be for everyone thou
everyone should try the aloe vera leaves..
[Edited link out]
those are it, you can pick up 1 leaf at your local grocery store and slice it open and blend the gel stuff inside and apply it 2 or 1 time a week it really works. im seeing great improvement. your shedding speeds up for the first few days on it, and it will stop and you see regrowth within 2 weeks..
even though I got bigger problems in life this is still annoying, has anyone found anything that works besides meds like prepecia, minox, or steroids
shedding not stopping urhh, gonna try the aloe
Guys i really don't see why so many of you have issues with steroids. I think the word alone seems to put people off.
Steroids on the scalp is not going to damage the skin unless you are having them injected or putting them under occlusion.
Improvements are seen within days and continue for months.

I would love to try some steroids but its a hassle going to your derm, so he can cehck you and if he believes you have aa, he might prescribe it, and its expensive, but most derms would just say you have mpb and get minox. Im going to see how much i improve wti aloe and imma get some minox to speed up the process if i dotn improve more then i will get on da steroids.

I'm trying to find something natural and my derm wanted me to try prepecia awhile back instead of the roids but not going to.
Not good at all bro my hair thinned out badly and looks very similar to Julius. Which is pretty bad considering it took him 6 years to get to that point while Im only close to 2 years. If anybody is considering topical steroids then please use it moderately because I experienced skin thinning and know for fact those area will never grow thick hairs again. Not trying to put off anyone from using it but just speaking from my experience.
It wasn't the Olux but the Lidex topical solution and I was applying it 2x a day. It was thinning all over but yes it thinned on the lower parts of the scalp. It was just dry flaky skin that came out of my scalp but it was the areas where I got the shots that thinned out horribly because the skin fat is completely gone compared to the rest of the scalp.
