mine was 96 days since i stopped accutane, not since i began shedding, but either way, what you describe sounds exactly like what i all of a sudden discovered one day. Good news buddy!!!

Yes. On the whole, it is good news. But I am still missing a lot of hair and the new hair is actually relatively unpigmented, now that I look at it. But it is longer than vellus hair. I mean, I hope this is at least a good sign. Perhaps it is beginning to grow in. We shall see.

Yes, in fact I take the whole thing back. So I have a few short hairs. I'm still missing too much hair. I don't understand how I could have stopped shedding and not have regrown hair.

If you are regrowing some now, i am sure you will continue to grow more. Short, not so thick hairs, often turn into full thick terminal hairs... Give it time!!!

When will it be okay for me to start taking a multivitamin that has some vitamin a in it. It only contains 0.8mg of vitamin A.

I think it's OK to start. I mean, I'm sure you eat as much vitamin A through food anyway. However, when I asked my doctor if I could start the same kind of vitamins, she said, "NO! Don't do that. Just iron, vitamin B (with biotin), and protein."

[Edited link out]

I post this link here because I hadn't come across it before. Does it mean that hair grows back 6 months after shedding stops? Or that all of the TE passes in 6 months?

i think they mean she stopped shedding 6 months past the time she started. i mean, no way she could of grown that much hair back in 6 months while shedding. it's poorly written, in any case.

realize that it is somewhat expotential and you wont stop losing your hair right when you stop accutane, i suggest that you do no more than the minimum number of months if your hair is still falling out in a few months...

Hi everyone,

How long is everyone willing to wait for the hair to come back before they give up? I think I'm willing to wait up to 9 months.

Well I've already given up all hope as of today. Ive been off accutane for 3 months and Im still shedding a lot and I have NO fucking regrowth at all, come on Im not gonna kid myself anymore. To whoever said youre already losing hair on the 10th day youre making the worst decision of your life.

as i said before i gave up around a month ago. granted the overall shedding is still slower now, but i have lost 50% of my hair in a very diffuse manner on my head and have experienced virtually no substantial regrowth. like i said before there are varying degrees of hair loss from accutane, but in my opinion a major part of the loss we experienced is permanent. i'm starting to propecia and arimidex soon to hopefully stop the shedding. if i can get it stop then i will worry about regrowing hair. but trust me there is no 6 month table of time. i've lost too much hair to magically have it all come back one day or even over time.

My hair doesnt fall that much on its own.. its when I rub my hands through it. But if I rub my hands through my hair there seems to be no limit as to how much I can take out, Like Im sure if I was rubbing my hands through my hair all day long I would still get at least 1 or 2 hairs on my hands everytime by the end of the day. No limit.

I agree. Let's keep this thread constructive. Hockey Guy, could you delete your aggressive posts? And I will do the same with mine. There's no need for this.

As has already been said, obviously she is female. One thing i do find usefull looking at the picture though, is that if you look closely, most of the hairloss is in the front region of the scalp...
