Does anyone else smell anything foul, after having not face washed for a few days? I was experimenting with the caveman regimen and it cleared my normal acne on my cheeks and jawline, but it seems that it worsens these pustules around my mouth and chin, and I also get this weird smell on my face/inside my nose.
Also does anyone have these pustules on their scalp with dandruffas well? I've been using Nizoral for 3 weeks now, and I can't say I've seen much improvement
@FungalAcneI tried the caveman regime also, no water touched my face for 4 months... Im pretty sure this is how I developed fungal acne in the first place it makes the perfect breeding ground. What I would say is my skin was less in flammed initially but the dead skin built up so much it was crazy! If I started sweating my face was white with dead skin. I then after a couple of months got so many clogged pores it was insane lots of whiteheads. For some people it works but I always seem to get dead skin build up so Id suggest monitoring your face whilst you do it and see if you build up lots of dead skin also. Me personally would not go down that road again.
Question for for anyone who has used sulphur soap before. Is sulphur itself an exfoliant? Or do you still need to physically rub the face to remove dead skin? Im getting a little bit of dead skin with his new routine and i need to keep this at bay as gently as possible. If I can just layer sulphur on and wash off that would be perfect but Im not sure if that works this way or you still need to apply pressure. Had a couple of newly formed pustules during the day yesterday but they are different now.. much much smaller and Im certain its the dead skin causing the issue opposed to fungal as I never normally get pustules in the place they are in.
If Sulphur doesnt exfoliate then does anyone have any good recommendations? I was think of mixing sugar in with my Nizoral once a week.

i tried both sulfur soap and a combination of sulfur and salicylic acid soap for 3 weeks.
didnt see any results except irritation so stopped. im trialing benzoyl peroxide wash and the 10% gel now (Benzac) i woke up with noticable redness underneath eyes this morning no sure if im allergic to it ffs...i think i got it too close to the eye area
@deades Thanks for info but did you find it removed dead skin or not really? That™s if you had any... I was making good progress then this morning bam face is irritated and red which I™ve not had for a few days, got a couple of pimples half way up my face which I never get there. It™s like you start making progress and then bam no no no your not getting rid of me that easily... dam you skin dam you! Good to talk about it on here though. We are in it together! Picture this morning... sticking with the plan never the less! Nothing on the left side of my face strangely enough it™s completely clear...

you mean that white'ish area? nah never had that. All the soaps did was make me constantly flake, and because I could never find a moisturiser that didnt break me out more (still cant) I said fuck it. The only thing that i use to 'moisturise' is petroleum jelly/vaseline. despite the fact that im constantly breaking out my face is dry and flakey.
interesting that you broke out again. your progress for just a few days was insane. do you think its diet/lifestyle related or nah? We have identical type of acne there must be a common cause for all of us with this shit... but hey at least you look like youre scar free. lucky mofo

yeah I ve got this shit on my scalp too. around the hairline mostly. if i dont wash hair for a couple days it starts to itch and shit..
guys also wanted to add that I have been on multiple courses of antibiotics to clear this including amox, doxy and mino. the acne responded immediately and totally cleared me but it came back every single time. and when it came back it was always worse, then took a couple weeks to calm down to moderate level as before. i have been on an oral antifungal couple years ago. cant remember the name but it did absolutely nothing.
@deadesI agree there must be something we can all correlate to.. I was trying to think exactly what I did differently, one thing was I didnt foam up the Nizoral in my hands as I have been I just put it on in its gel form.. could be coincidence but Ive gone back to foaming to see, I feel like my skin is more inflamed again which is odd I had no redness last few days however it was freezing yesterday so I had a really hot shower, I didnt let any water touch my face but sure was steaming in the shower. I also had a pretty intense gym session where I was sweating. So three potential culprits.. or I could of broke out anyway regardless.. or I could still be doing some sort of purge which Im not to sure about as I dont know if Nizoral does purge.

yeah theres always an itch before it comes to a head. not for the really small ones, unless they come in clusters (ugh) but the bigger ones definitely..
definitely keep us posted on the nizoral. im going to give the benzoyl peroxide regimen a solid couple months before i move on to something new.
Yeah will do I have bought a specific sulphur soap from Derma Medico also thanks loads of recommendations, I work away so il start trialling that on Wednesday and let you know how I get on.. Im sure between us we can figure this out, keep me posted on youre BP trial also, I though I may try the Acne Regime later down the line if all this fails.. I get the feeling once we find out the issue our skin will be repaired quickly.. my pustules tend to vanish in a couple of days so once we figure out how to stop new ones forming we are there! So glad for this group!

I really think you should try what has worked for me,@Canucklehead12and @UnusualClubwhich is Benzoyl Peroxide.
I know some of you have tried it in the past and it didn't work. However, the first step is to eliminate the source of this bacteria which are your nostrils. Gram negative and positive bacteria including staph grows in your nostrils.
Simply clean them with hibiclens for 30 secs using a Q tip for 3 to 5 days. Also apply hibiclens to your face for 2min. Hibiclens is a microbial and kills gram positive bacteria like staph.
Start using BP wash or lotion at the same time which will ensure the bacteria does not breed on your skin anymore. I used BP first as spot treatment and saw difference overnight. Then used it all over my chin mouth and nose and thats it. I only use it on my problem areas.
After using hibiclens on your face, i used povidone iodine for the next 5 days. Povidone Iodine is another antimicrobial which kills gram negative bacteria. This way you ensure youve removed gram neg using iodine and gram positive using hibiclens. Meanwhile by using BP everyday, you ensure bacteria doesn't return to cause these pustules.
Moisturize everyday. It will help. Try this routine and it'll help in 2 weeks or less. I used to think diet affects my acne. Tbh, it does, but only when these bacterias are active on your face, they feed on sugar fructose etc that you eat and multiply. Once you remove these bacterias, you can start eating anything again.
@silverlight22Can you specify which kind of Benzoyl peroxide product you use, like the exact brand? Also, is this a routine you have to follow long term, or did it cure you after some time?
@FungalAcneI use Benzagels 2.5% BP as spot treatment. Order from Amazon. Also use Clean and clears BP face wash 5% on problem areas once everyday during shower.
The application of BP has to be followed long term to prevent regrowth of bacteria. Hibiclens and Iodine are only used for first 10days to eliminate the crazy growth of any species on your skin. Then BP is used to maintain low bacterial count.

Thanks for the tips Silverlight22. And so you never use sulfur ? And did you have folicculits on the scalp ? I imagine it's the same prodecure..

what % chlorhexdine do you recommend for the nostrils/face
@deades Because He said De la Cruz Sulfur was quite good .. so perhaps does he find an interest to sulfur (when he has no more BP in his pharmacy etc) : just to know if it's good to have a sulfur soap on hand in case of... 
Hi guys guess what I™m completely clear my skin is fantastic somehow it™s now changed to a nice tanned olive with no imperfections.. ahhhh if only this was true! Got to have a laugh about it or we will all get depressed by it eh haha?!
i decided I had to exfoliate my face this morning I was getting some pustules around my mouth again, I could see the dead skin had built up quite a bit so was expecting it to happen! Used sugar and water and was very gentle, all those dead flakes have gone albeit my face looks slightly inflamed, not too much but I™ve not exfoliated in about 3 months so always guna happen.. I™m now thinking I need to add exfoliating in once a week to help with the other 100 things, this could also be contributing to the clogged pores aka pustules.. I feel like I keep getting so close to beating this! Drowned my sorrows in Mackies ice cream dam it was so good!
Gagging to try this Sulphur soap now, 3 more days... I think il try a month of sulphur soap, Nizoral and exfoliating and see where that lands me.. last resort BP! Still having success with Nizoral just a case of fine tuning everything.. I feel like once we all conquer this which we will we should all get together for a beer or 10 and celebrate! I think I want clear skin more than anything I ever wanted! Good day all

De la cruz is good. I have been using it for 5 years now but would still get these pustules every single day.
the only thing that truly made a difference was hibiclens and Iodine in nostrils and then BP wash and then bp lotion as mentioned above.
Try it guys, it might change your life.
@Dsophobei had multiple pustules on scalp that werent going away for months. The BP wash got rid of it. Use it as shampoo everyday for 5min and itll clear your scalp and back neck.

@jcbdigger365i had left BP as my last resort too but i wish i hadn't. I have used nizoral in the past. I'd skip the sulfur soap and go for the regimen I mentioned in my post yesterday.

each day I™m getting better and better at the moment but always need a back up for later down the line. My skin is improving quite a lot I realise how crucial it is for me to exfoliate gently every few days now also. Skin looks pretty good minor pustules but they are improving daily in certain. @silverlight22 Allright, I'll try this routine as soon as possible ! It's so damn difficult to find a cleanser with BP in my country (there's only gel/lotion for spot treatment in pharmacy or french website), and I'm bored to pay amazing shipping fees.. so I need to be patient to find the good products !

So this is a very mild day from what i found in my pictures.. usually the white heads would be all over my nose also..
It definitely looks like using the benozyl peroxide 10%, my nose/face is much less oily and the pimples are drying out.. my face looks much clearer and will update again soon.. thx
