No haven't really noticed any hair loss and ED has defo not been a problem

My dosage is super low for my weight. I am 5"10 and weigh 221 pounds. (Not sure what that is in kg)...when did you start experiencing any type of side effects from accutane? (Dryness, etc)

I believe my derm would like to raise the dosage on me as well, but I may want to just stay at my dosage even though I know my treatment will be longer. I have seen multiple medical studies on this with far less side effects, so I am going to go with it.

I also am slowing down on shaving but I dont use a razor..i use an electric razor since it doesnt irritate my skin so much. I heard a razor that is non irritating and it is called a "safety razor"...you might want to look into that if you use regular razors. (Just a suggestion)

that is good to hear that you havent had the hair loss/ED. I hope none of us get that lol

Happy it's going good for you. I'm week 6 now and still breaking out everyday. But it is slowing down thankfully.

I expected to be breaking out for at least 2 months so its a complete shock.

Well at least it is getting better, got my fingers crossed for you.

Alright Pal,

Yeah all good man, went for my 1 month blood test yesterday although its actually been 5 weeks.

Had 4/5 spots over the past couple weeks but only small ones that all went within a few days. Currently no active spots on my face just makes from old stuff, they are fading each week but obviously just takes time for marks to go.

Got to see my doctor in 3 weeks but having issues getting an appointment so id recommend making sure you book the appointments well in advance. But yeah all good man the Accutane is working a treat and I feel 10x more confident.

hows things your end?

Thats great to hear man. Glad it's still working for you.

I hear ya on the appointment part, I am going to make sure i have my appointment ready for when i reach the month mark so i dont skip days on medication and whatnot. The receptionist at my doctor told me accutane stays in your body for a week, but i did research and that is complete bull, so I am going to make sure when im done with my appointment on the 10th, they schedule me for the next month right then and there or I wont leave lol.

i currently only have about 2 active spots on my face and 2 1/2 cysts on my damn neck that are annoying and embarassing, but other than that nothing else. Im hoping I already passed the initial break out period and mine was just a small one, but who knows...only time will tell.

The 10th of April will be the end of my first month and boy it has been going by pretty quick, which is a good thing..the sooner we get done with this shit - the better lol.

have you encountered any additional side effects?

I got the appointment sorted for the 21st May so we all good there.

Top man, flys by doesn't it! I think just being on it makes you feel better cause you know that your 99% sure that its going to work.

And nothing really lips are dry but skin isn't even that dry anymore, spots are going much faster so yeah I cant really complain about much to be honest. Marks are slowly fading but still have a fair few on my face and no being able to go sit in the sun to tan means they are more visible but its sure better then having a face of bumps and spots.

Erm a little bit hasn't been to sunny here in the UK really so far this year.

I imagine some sun cream will be fine I cant see be walking into the sun and just frying instantly.

Although I have woke up this morning with a pretty decent size spot on my left cheek so not to pleased about that! meant to be going out sunday so fingers crossed it clears up.
