What scar gel are you using?

It's called "pracasil plus". It's a fairly new treatment but there has been a lot of positive feedback and studies done and i've found it to be great!!

Have u tried apple cider vinegar to fade the red marks?

I'm currently on accutane and noticed that when I apply ACV to actives it reduces the inflammation a fair bit. My red marks are fading but that could also be because the accutane is drying out the surface layer and speeding up the healing of the skin.

Week 30
first time having a big pimple in ages. Got very inflamed but now finally going down. Could possibly be related to that time of the month.
Been feeling very down lately about my marks.

Does anyone know if you should moisturise underneath or over the top of a scar gel? or just use the scar gel with no moisturiser?

I would say apply the scar gel so it has direct contact with the skin. Once that fully dries, put on the moisturizer. Or whichever has the thinner consistency, I'd apply first because the thicker one will inhibit the other from absorbing. If the consistency isn't significantly different - scar then moisture

your skins looks awesome! One thing my dermatologist told me is that while on the accutane it will look much more red then it is. Which means once you are off that's probably going to be flawless looking.

Week 33
the past week I've had really sever flushing episodes every night. Bright red, hot, swollen, unbearable across the cheeks and nose.
Went to the derm yesterday, i don't have rosacea but he said it could be due to the Doryx along with chest pain I've been having.
So he's now taken me off Doryx and I'm on Bactrim twice daily. Also gave me a sample of Finacea gel/cream which might help with my marks. So I'm using that along with the silicone scar gel.
Fingers crossed!

Your skin looks great now. But 38 weeks is a long time, I think. I'm only on my week 6, didn't see much improvement.

yes 38 weeks is a long time and i really didn't think it would take this long for me. Took a great deal of persistence! 6 weeks isn't long at all. took me a long time too to see some improvement especially as i had such a huge initial breakout. It'll be worth it in the end you just have to stick with it!

Well congrats, your skin looks awesome as compared to day 1 🙂
Even I was on Accutane 2 years back but couldn't complete the course.... Well now it is just about taking proper care of the skin :)
