The only thing i did differently was stop taking my multi-vitamin and reduce the dosage of accutane from 50mg to 10mg

Thanks for the tip, I Just found out that a vitamin enriched tea blend I drink contains vitamin A. Probably will cut it out sometime.

Anyone know if the red marks will fade on a dose as low as 10mg? I dropped from 50 to 10 nearly 2 weeks ago now

My derm said that my red marks could possibly get worse when I was on 20mg. I've heard and read that red marks will typically improve once you get off of accutane.

I've been using a silicone based scar gel which seems to have helped!

Seeing the dermatologist in 2 weeks and hopefully I will then come off the accutane entirely.
Currently on 10mg a day and using a silicone based scar gel once in the morning and again at night.

Your skin looks absolutely gorgeous. Hopefully I'm getting on accutane soon, very nervous. My skin tone is the same as yours so my scars are so obnoxious. Do you think accutane was worth it? It's such a long time to wait but god damn your skin looks soft

Your skin looks wonderful! Good luck with marks, I'm sure with time they will fade away almost, if not, completely!

thank you so much! i still feel extremely self-conscious. For me on accutane i've been through hell. It got so much worse and i never had marks like this beforehand. But maybe my skin really needed to purge all that. I hope so much that it's worth it, it's just taking a while and i'm very impatient!
My skin is very soft though so can't complain there, just these darn red marks i want gone. My dermatologist says that they should fade really well once i come off it. Will keep my week by week pics coming!

Yesterday I went to the dermatologist and it was my last day on accutane! I will now be on Doryx (doxycycline) 50mg twice daily.
Hoping for the marks to fade quicker now.
 

I'm surprised your derm is giving you doxycycline.My derm has ensured me that I will not need anything after accutane (at least for a little while).
How long will you take doxycycline?

It's more because I'm paranoid of the acne coming back so it's a precaution. I don't need to see him again until
december so will be taking it until then

Now just using the Doryx twice daily and scar gel on the marks post accutane

1.5 weeks post accutane

It looks really good. I would give it a few months for the red marks to be gone completely
