Hello again !
Lore91 > thanks a lot ! Your answer helped me a lot back when I read it. I actually wish I had your skin honestly . The photos don't really show how bad it is
Day 124
I thought I looked better, but unfortunately my face did not really progress these past 3 weeks. There are 2 marks that faded a bit, but I have 2 new ones from small breakouts.
I did not breakout in a long time on my face, but I did on my neck, right under my jaw so it's not too visible. It's going down now.
I don't really have actives, just deep bumps that are not really visible on my neck.
I don't think i'm gonna improve until the end of the course in August, until then I think I'll just rely on makeup, only on my cheeks, the rest doesn't really bother me.
I think accutane did it's job by removing active, but it does nothing to the million red marks, as excepted.
The only thing I care about is to have made progress on September (internship) and also on March 2016 (most likely going abroad)
I'm trying to start doing more things again, I'm seeing a friend tomorrow, a bit anxious to know if he will react... Whatever
Two job interviews Monday too ! One is not important (I'm not interested in the company but accepted the job interview offer for practice), and the other is in a company heavily focused on fashion, it's like 80% girls and it's really "parisian" style... oh god
No new actives in sight.
Red marks not changing.
I'm debating starting long term low dose so my skin can heal the hyper pigmentation. I'm not yet at the 120mg/kg thought, I was thinking of maintaining 20mg/week or something instead of 40mg/day.
I'm staying on 40mg/day this week while thinking about it.
Question to people that finished accutane :
Did red marks heal faster when you finished accutane ? How much faster ?
Because mine aren't fading on accutane, that's why I'm considering either ending early or going low dose.
I'm almost at 80mg/kg
Day 138 : my face is still very calm
Some activity on my neck, pretty much the only thing still getting some blemishes, maybe due tu irritation. It's not sebum induced zits, kinda weird.
SO ! I Decided to stop washing my face with topicals. For multiple reasons :
- my face is dry enought
- my face didn't get sebum related zits in weeks
- my main problem is red marks, uneven tone and scars, so topical won't help for this
- sometimes I get a small red pimple on my face with no sebum in it that disappears in days, I think it's irritation
I also discovered my topical cream was meant for oily skin : it's this one. http://www.ducray.com/en-gb/skin-care/oily-blemish-prone-skin/keracnyl-foaming-gel
I hope these changes don't break me out !
Your skin looks great.
Thank you !
YourYou're probably not going to see much healing on accutane until it's out of you system so if the goal is to fade the red marks, wait till you're off to introduce AHA or let it heal with time.
I agree, I can't wait...
Day 151 : Some of the recent small zits/scabs I had are going away.
Some of the red marks are improving... well maybe, it's really slow.
10 days post accutane : my skin is calm, I notice some oiliness on my nose, possibly feeling some tiny bumps (the blackhead kind)
I might take 20mg/week, I'm on the fence.
Also I'm less oily ! I almost don't need to use lip balm anymore. Only one of my cheeck is slightly peeling
did you stay clear
your skin looks perfect dude
Thanks ! I did not breakout since stop, I get a bit more oily.
The small bumps I was talking about mostly went away, must have been some kiind of initial reaction after stopping.
27 days post accutane : mostly looking the same. I'm just back from vacation so I'm more tanned.
Skin's looking good dude.
I finished 2 weeks ago, but literally like 5 days later ended up getting a lot of non-inflammatory closed comedones. Most died within a couple of days, but some of them are still there. I'm also getting the occasional pimple which literally disappears in under a day with Epiduo, but obviously i'm a bit scared :S I'm hoping it's just my skin readjusting!

Thanks man,
similarly to you, after stopping I had some kind of rebound where I had a few weird very small bumps, it got away.
I still sometimes get like, one small almost not visible bump but it goes away fast and does not leave a mark.
Sometimes, I take 20mg a week because I don't want to worry about the oiliness, but to be honest but that's just because I can't afford more scars.
Congrats for the tv show by the way ! is it a british one ?
Yes it is british! But the makeup is so so heavy.. ;( i'm terrified it will break me out, but aside from some tiny comedones and just redness from makeup-wipe irritation (which lasts two days, however), it's all been ok so far.
Yeah i'm hoping it's just our skin readjusting! I still have two big scars but so far i'm not oily again which is good and everything else is fading. Just lots of closed comedones all over the place but hopefully they'll go!
But hey! Look, we both got through accutane unharmed! let's hope it keeps getting better for us!
Your skin is looking good dude you can go back to wearing makeup if you want to make you feel more comfortable, but you deffo don't need it
I'm seeing my derm on monday, possibly starting another very short course of accutane for a couple months just to kick it in the butt. I am getting a few breakouts still, especially on my back.
how are you finding it being off?
Thanks man,
I decided not to wear, it looks just as bad with makeup ahah, I don't like the texture.
I'm glad you can have your hand again on Accutane, I still take a pill sometimes to control oiliness. In your case it's for body acne ? It responds later I think to accutane.
Beeing off is mixed, some of the redness fades but I get some breakouts. They heal better than when in Accutane, at least.
So I got one on each side of my face this last month, I think it's because of irritation cause by some kind of hat I wore that covers cheek (some kind of russian hat OR because of my face rubbing on pillow. I eliminated both things to see how it goes.
Also the lack of sun ! I notice people's skin gets worse in winter, I take Vitamin D3 these days.
The redness I had on the last photo I posted errupted a bit, it looks slightly better and is healing now.
I'm meeting a girl in feburary I had been talking for a while, I'm a bit scared that my skin gets worse.
