So I've done everything just like many of you have but I've yet to try accutane and I never will. I'm currently on doxycycline. I don't have a regimen. I use ivory non-scented soap once or twice daily depending on my day. I was pretty much clear about 4 days ago. I got to my clear stage from enjoying myself, living stress free, tanning in a bed (I swear it works), and eating right. Welllll, first week back from college I drank heavily Wednesday-Saturday, woke up to a towed car, stressed, mixed some adderall with alcohol for Gasparilla and I broke out pretty bad and that's where I'm at right now. I've decided to take a month off from alcohol and I'm going to continue with the soap and tanning bed and see where it gets me. I've had acne now for nearly 4 years it's in my chin area and just won't go away. Medium sized red bumps that never really turn into heads so I'm guessing nodular acne. Let me tell you what, I was never happier then I was Saturday when I felt like my face was completely clear. Easily the best feeling in the world. So I suggest any of you to try Ivory soap and a tanning bed. See where it gets you. Quit wasting money on regimens and just let your skin do it's thing. That's how we were made right? Everything will eventually heal itself, and that's my thought on acne at the moment.
I'm hoping to clear up from this breakout in about a week as I have some nice red bumps that I know won't be going away over night. I find not washing with soap at night or not even washing period gives you refreshed skin in the a.m.
Anyone have experience with tanning beds and acne? If so please fill me in, I truly believe it helps and also makes you look good!
Also, I wasn't COMPLETELY clear, because I have this left over pimple that was pretty damn large about a month ago. I popped it with my tongue, like let it get to basically it's worst, rubbed it with warm water and my finger then pushed with my tongue. It works. So it went away like 3 days later then all of a sudden I woke up and it was a blue bruise type of thing. Hasn't gone away yet and it's been about a month.
Anyone have any ideas on that?
Damn thing.

Tanning will help dry up the pimples on your skin, I'm not sure if it would be any help for nodular acne though, but it will make your acne scars last longer and emphasize the redness in hypermpigmentation. As for the blue spot from the other nodule, I had one just like that and it went away completely so no worries, I did use tazorac to speed up the process though.
