AHH i miss you twin! I have been so awful with updating.. But ive been crazy busy lately and just distracted. But yeah i know I'll see him again, a month has already gone by.. 2 more to go! 
Thanks girl <3 And a couple weeks ago my skin looked awesomee, but then it rained for like a week straight here, so it was superr humid and gross out here in the desert heat, so my skin got all oily and nasty from it and started breaking out again! The weather has been nicer now and my skin is getting drier again so the bumps are going away thank god. But now im scared when I get off Accutane itll become oily again and thats whats gonna happen D:
So I'm taking some time today to let all of you know how much I appreciate the fact that you are keeping these logs and allowing others to follow your progress. I'm starting accutane in about a week and a half (I hope) and it has helped me SO MUCH to see how others are handling their experiences. You, Taylor and Rachel are probably the three I can identify with the most. I will be keeping a log with the hope that I can help someone else.
I will soon be 17 and starting my junior year this fall. I will be taking online classes for a semester because we are in the process of moving from the east coast to Arizona (yup...Arizona!) I was a little nervous when I read about your online experience and how you said it was HARDER. Craps. I will be taking honors chem, honors American gov., honors English, Spanish lV, pre calc and psych. Am I gonna die????? It's like I told Taylor....At least I will be able to hide in my coccoon while I'm transforming into a hidous creature. But hopefully I will emerge a beautiful butterfly

I'm not gonna lie, the things I am most afraid of are the initial bad breakouts, scaly skin and THE LIPS! Tell me the truth, can I kiss while I'm on accutane or is too gross? BE HONEST. I don't want to miss out on dating for 6 months, nor do I want my lips to fall off during a makeout session! I do not currently have a boyfriend (although I am talking to a couple guys) but I really don't know if I should persue anything. I know it sounds so stupid and shallow, like if they really liked me they could see past my acne and the side effects. But lets be honest, it would be one thing if I already HAD a boyfriend...it's entirely different to try and start a relationship looking like something from a horror movie. So sad. Sorry about the tangent but I'm worried about so many things!

Sorry if i made online school sound terrible, haha i dont even remember what I said about it.. but its not! Don't worry, I actually think it was the best thing for me. My GPA improved dramatically, i get better grades, I get to do things on my own time, and like you said, it made being on Accutane SO much better. I got to just hide at home and not worry if anyone was looking at my face. I honestly don't know how people go on this stuff and still go to school everyday. My face was a mess and dryer than everr at first (so I applaud those of you who went to school everyday dealing with this!) My senior year actually started today Last one, whoo! The only thing I think was harder though is possibly doing things more yourself without the help of a teacher right in front of you. And make sure you stay focused, cuz its easy to get behind. But dont worry, youll do fine Oh hey, I live in Arizona!
Yeah its been really hard and Ive only gotten ONE letter from him in a month But its okay, i'll live.. I'm just the most impatient person ever though! haha.
Honestly my initial breakout was NOTHING like I expected ha like not too horribly bad. But its different for everyone.. I know many people who had awful ones.. Yeah the lips are a bummer and no amount of chapstick is going to fix it You just have to accept it while on Accutane they will always be dry. Get a good chapstick though so they dont burn at least and itll make the flaking a little better. You can kiss though haha, but I guess it could also depend on how severly chapped they are.. Like mine were always soo dry but I tried to always put tons of chapstick on so my boyfriend wouldnt be repulsed by me haha, and he knew what I was going through and he didnt mind the dry lips. If a guy wont accept just small things like that, even after they know what you're going through with this serious medicine and everything, then theyre just not worth it. Trust me. Plus when you're off Accutane your lips will be normal again. Don't worry girl the right guy will come and Accutane will be great for you and boost your confidence as well!

DAY 129! (I'm pretty sure.. haha I had no idea what day I'm on, so counted all the way back from April on my calendar, so it should be write)
Well I had my month 4 appointment with my derm last week and everything is going well he said. I picked up my LAST prescription of Accutane yesterday. How crazy is that??! I can't believe I only have like a month left.. so insane how fast it went by. I still have the finish the pack I have now, then I'll start up my new box of Accutane then and it'll be my last. He said it will still be in my system for 8 weeks after I'm done though (so two months). So technically I have over 3 months left really.. but only a little over a month of actually taking the pill everyday. I stayed on 40mg throughout the whole course with no changes in anything throughout the whole thing. I should be done taking the pills by October and they should be out of my system by December, so hopefully I continue to see improvement throughout the duration of that time or no acne comes back.
My derm was like "well hows it feel to be all acne free finally?" And I mean it's awesome to not really have any zits now, cuz I seriously would get like 10 new ones a day and they stuck around forever, so like I couldnt even count them all and tell you how many zits I had... It was just too many to even count and my face was baddd, so its awesome I finally found the ONE thing that worked. I spent so much money and did so many painful procedures to get rid of acne, so it feels incredible now. BUT I still have SO many red spots and acne scars.. Like honestly my skin doesn't even look clear because theres so many red spots everywhere. It's really frustrating because I want to have that awesome feeling of being clear and happy, but with all these dark spots that my makeup won't even cover up, its hard to be excited at all.. Like my skin feels clear, but by looking at it, you wouldnt think so.
Does anyone have ANY suggestions on how to get rid of these or help them fade??? Please, I'm so desperate now ha, I just want to finally be happy with my skin and to not have to pack on the makeup every single day :/
P.S. I got most of these scars/red marks from being a horrible picker. As hard as it may be, guys DO NOT PICK AT YOUR ACNE! :/

That is something you could do 6 months after your treatment if nothing else helps. It does require a week of downtime, but my marks are gone, not light pink - gone. It does feel like a rubber band is snapping against each red mark when they do it, but the outcome is phenomonal.
Since that option is pretty pricey and would take a bit until you can actually do it - I have heard that baking soda works, like making it into a paste and using it every night? But I've never tried it myself so I could be wrong.
I'll try to look up some stuff for you twin <3.

I have tried lazer treatment before as well before Accutane. It was that same uncomfortable rubber band-snap feeling, except mine definitely did not get rid of my red marks. Ha and I know it was different because it didn't bruise and it didn't require any down time, so I want to look into the one you did! That sounds awesome about how it cleared your marks so well, I want that 
haha, I'm gonna ask my dermatologist office about that for sure. Oh really? I am gonna look into that baking soda thing! Since I can't do any lazer treatment for a while I guess I'll try some home remedies like that or something until I can do a real procedure and maybe itll help some.

Wow guys.. I didn't even realize how much better my skin is. I am looking at pictures from just a couple months ago and it is 1000 times better. It's hard to tell how much it actually helps until you look back at pictures of how it used to look and compare. And I still have a month left on this stuff then like another two with it in my system! I can't wait to see the overall results at the end with this amazing drug. I will put the compare pictures up soon!

Thanks girl! Yeah I didn't even realize how much it truly helped until looking back, cuz I see my face everyday so it's hard to notice results as much. Yeah I definitely think it's good and makes you feel better with your skin now! About the redmarks though.. in the pictures I was standing in front of a bright window to get good lighting, so they look wayy better than they actually are haha its horrible for me to find some decent lighting that shows an accurate version of my skin in pictures. BUT they are still much better than before:P & Things are goin pretty good. Yes! I have been writing him a TON, haha cuz the letters are what motivate them to keep going. And I have gotten 5 letters from him now! He's halfway through too

That is great you are hearing from him so often! I can't believe he is halfway done! Will he finish basic right around the time you finish tane? I am sure hearing from you and family makes him so happy. I can imagine being there is hard for many reasons. I know what you mean about the lighting and the red marks. Sometimes lighting makes them look better and other time it makes them look horrible!

Hmm well i only have one box left of pills, but i havent used em yet, just finished my other prescription up. Theyre 30 days worth and he has like 46 days left so yes I guess i will be all done! Haha sorry, i was kinda figuring it all out in my head and typing it out at the same time:b Thats really exctiting though cuz last time he saw me i didnt have clear skin, so Im gonna feel so much more confident now when i see him haha itll be a nice surprise for him to see im sure too. Not that he ever cared how i looked though ha but you know what i mean. Yeah he says my letters are his favorite and the nights he gets a letter from me is when he goes to bed with a smile on his face:P Thinking of seeing me is what helps him keeping going he said:p hehe but yeah its extrememly hard for everyone, but hes doing great! Hes been winning all kinds of competitions and even gets a phone call home as a reward! Ha not exactly sure yet who he'll call between me and his parents though so we'll see. Id like die to hear from him though on the phone haha. Yeah exactly! Well, it depended on the zit.. If there was nothing to really get rid of on it or it didn't have like a nasty head then no. But those huge honkers that looked bad I just had to. I don't care what anyone tells me, I can't go out into public with a that thing protuding out my face hahah. But pleaseee do not pick at your face if you dont desperately need to, just dont. I was horrible at picking at my skin and trying to get rid of every little thing and now I am left with tons or awful red marks and scarring. So take it with someone whos experienced it first hand. I still am on Accutane though, and there is now nothing much I can even really pick at lately.

Yeah, things are going good. Ive been taking it for about 2 weeks now. My derm started me on 20 mg for the first month, so I'm not really experencing anthing different... yet. Just have had mildly dry lips, extreme exhaustion, slight abdominal pain that comes and goes (Hopefully I shouldn't be too worried) and have woken up in the middle of the night a few times sweating. idk why..? maybe my anxiety? Anyways, that's where I'm at. Going to get my blood drawn in the next few days so I can get my next script soon. And the pictures I provided on that link weren't that great. I posted a recent one on my profile gallery. Check that out and let me know how bad it is... Since it's my skin and i see it everyday I don't really know how severe it is.

Haha thank you so much! I am proud. And so happy with the results Once these red marks go away it will look about flawless, so hopefully they will fade with time..
Well for my face I just use the oil free acne wash from Neutragena, which different dermatologists have all reccomended me to use and I find it works well for me. I've seen a lot of people use Cetaphil for their skin cleanser cuz its nice and gentle, but it would neverr get my makeup off so I can't use that. I use Cetaphil for my moisturizer though and have been for years and its still my favorite. I'm not too picky with my sunscreen since I've heard now that anything over 15 spf is just the same really.. But i have a Cetaphil sample one I've been using and also one called Cotz from the derm. thats a superr high spf and they work the same to me soo I'm not sure what the best sun screen really is haha.
Not gonna lie, I used to be SO picky with all the stuff I used for my face and used all these toners and scrubs and creams and blahhhh. My routine took SO long every morning and night. Now with Accutane I can just wash my face, moisturize, pop my little pill and done! haha soo much easier.
Sorry I didn't have anything special to share really.. now with this harsh medicine that makes your skin so sensitive I just believe usually less is more
