I'm flaking too girlies! No bueno :( No matter what I do, the flakes are there! I'm just going to have to deal! The big honker is drying up very nicely!

I did not get burned today :) It was 90 degrees, was in the sun and laid out in it for hours, and NO BURN WHAT. WHAT. YEAH :) Go Taylor!

Just checked out the last picture update...amazing progress! Your skin is really starting to glow. I've told you before that you have such naturally pretty features, so I'm sure your skin will look great once you finish your course. :] Keep on truckin!

One thing I use that really helps with dryness is Banana Boat Aloe Vera gel. It moisturizes without leaving sort of a gooey residue like some lotions do, and it's always worked well my skin, especially areas that stay pretty dry like the t-zone of my face. might be worth a try!

Almost forgot....what is the tattoo you have on your shoulder? I'm have several tats myself...always curious when it comes to ink lol

No bueno indeed. No matter how much I moisturize I look flakey and dry. It's worth it though. 🙂 Glad your honker is drying up, my honker is drying up as well! Go away, honker pimples! Forever. 😉

That's great to hear! Go Taylor, no sunburn on the 'tane!😀

I'm going to have to make sure I bring my strongest SPF with me in July when I head to the beach for a week and bathe in it so I don't burn. That would ruin my whole vacation.

Thank you SO much! Ah - my skin is glowing? I have heard of the so called "tane glow", maybe I have it? I can't wait to be done Accutane lately. I really hope that it can cure me of my acne that I've had since the 3rd grade. One year of clear skin after my previous 3 month course was a huge tease! I'm keeping the faith that everything is going to work out in the end!

Hmm Aloe Vera Gel. I have never heard that one. I've noticed my legs were itchy this morning, even after slathering moisturizer all over them last night. The area around my mouth has been very dry. I feel like moisturizing 2 times a day isn't even enough. Maybe I will give the aloe vera gel a try!

My tattoo is a half sleeve of lilies with water. I have a total of five tattoos. I do want maybe one or two more, I just don't know where and what of.

Here's a picture of it after I got it done:

Day 85

Month three is almost done! :D Only two more months left after this. I™ve said it once, and I™ll say it again; I cannot believe how fast this has been going by.

I woke up this morning dry, so I moisturized. I noticed that my cheek is looking even better. The healing zits aren™t as red, and are starting to become even smoother. This is great. My jawline is smoother, as well. I have three actives. There are two on my jaw that are healing, but they still feel bumpy and I don™t think they™re going away any time soon. Forehead zit is becoming smaller, but it™s still there. Part of it kind of flaked off, which is a good sign.

I hope by next Thursday (my birthday) things are looking even better.

Anyway, I™M STARVING. I have leftover fried rice from last night™s dinner with my dad. I have two hours until lunch though. :(

Im so happy to hear that your clearing up more and more! Its really odd because you and me have seriously been at the same stage this whole time! If one of us change so does the other good or bad. Sooo weird! I am glad that I have become your friend on here and we have been able to keep in contact! It made me feel like I had a tane buddy for real. It's even better now that we are both finally seeing improvement! Cheeseyyyyy I know, but it's been cool to have someone going through the ups and downs with! That goes for everyone though, its been really cool to have somewhere to come and vent and get hints and tips and tricks! I don't know what I would have done without this site! You all have been sooo nice!

I am sure by next Thursday you are going to look better and better! Daily it is getting better! Amazing the amount of healing that happens in a weeks time. I am sure you are going to look BEAUTIFUL and smooth!

On another note, I now want fried rice....

It™s really awesome to have someone who is going through the same thing as you on Accutane. Everyone experiences different results. We™ve definitely been on the same path with this drug. But it™s about damn time we™re getting to a point where things change for the better. It™s an amazing feeling to finally have some real clearing! Haha, and it™s not cheesy! This website has been SUCH help for me, and everyone has been so nice. I don™t know how I would have gotten this far without going insane without this forum.

I love waking up and noticing a difference from the day before. I was looking in the mirror at work earlier and I thought to myself, œDamn, it really does look better! 🙂

My lunch was amazing. Fried rice is so good. It™s about the only Chinese food I eat too, hahaha.

I haven't really been on here much the last few days so I feel so out of the loop!

Thanks Rachel! 🙂

I feel like it can only get better from here. We'll see!

And thanks! This tattoo took 2 sessions - one 2 and a half hour session, and another 3 and a half hour session. I don't know how I did it. It hurt, but I love it!

My sister has a tat on her arm about that size. She has won trophies for a couple tattoo contests. For best dark art. Hers look 2 sittings and they were each 4 hours! Crazy amount of time! I love getting tattoos though, I don't seem to be bothered by pain IF I am the one bringing on the pain. Here is a photo of my sisters its crazy good.

I think it would drive me nuts sitting there for that long! Lol. I only have one tattoo right now. I've always planned to get more, but I change my mind about everything. Now that I'm on Accutane and can't get tattoos for a while, I reeeeaaaally want one! Lol.

Wow your sister's tattoo is awesome! I'm sure it was hell to go through. I wanted this half-sleeve so damn bad so I didn't mind the pain. 🙂

Thanks! I wish I had the guts to do a full-sleeve (and the money). It is a long process.

It did drive me a little nuts! Haha. I remember sitting there 2 hours in and wanting to scream because the pain just started getting to me. I don't know how I stuck it out!

Hey loveliesssssss!

I ran around way too much today with my mom, but I figured I should get out of the house on my day off, and Accutane took over and made me reallllllly tired by like 2pm...

I'm glad I'm in my air conditioned room, cause it's 95 out where I am, bleh. I don't mind the heat if I'm swimming, but not when I'm walking around, I feel like everything is twice as hard.. like walking up steps biggrin.png

Those tattoos are gorgeousss! I obviously don't have one because I'm not 18, but I will be in 5 months! I always wanted one going down my rib,

and specifically a feather like this:

I'd want it thinner and more black than that.

tumblr_kzeheglzIS1qzabkfo1_500_thumb.jpg

Or this is really pretty:

Or a quote on my rib going down like this:

That's good that you got out for a bit. I know what you mean about being tired, I've had way too many on this damn drug. Haha.

The heat here is horrible! We're in a heat wave. It was like 98 today and I believe it's supposed to be 100 tomorrow with but it will feel like 110?! I don't know. I will not be outside unless I am walking into work or into my house from work! My mom and I went to the pool today and that was refreshing. I'm the same exact way in the heat, it makes me miserable unless I'm in water.

I LOVE all of those tattoos!! They're all so pretty!

I really want quotes going down my ribs as well. I just have to figure out what & if I am brave enough to go through with it, haha. :)

I have a tattoo on my rib cage, starts mid way on my ribs and curls onto the top of my hip bone, hurt like a son of a bitch, my sisters friend gave it to me one drunken afternoon in my kitchen with her tattoo gun. O my god that hurt, I will have it covered up one day with something with more detail and alittle larger though. I also have one on my lower back with most the detail on my spine, that hurt too haha. Like I said though planned pain I can take a lot better than I can take any other pain. Pain is beauty haha

Day 86

I already posted this in Rachel's log...but I'm going to say it here just for the sake of saying it...

I HAVE NO ACTIVES!!

EVERYTHING IS HEALING (even though some marks are visible).

All hail to the Accutane gods!

Uh, so I just found this e-card and I think it's relevant for my job lately. I have to share.

YAY KAYDON!! That is awesomeeee :) My jaw area is still flipping out, I just woke up to feeling one underneath my skin and I have 5 still healing from my chin/jaw area.. wtf is up with that area!? I never used to break out there.

Everywhere else is purty good :) My left cheek has a few hard tiny ass bumps that I can feel but can't see, so I'm not sure if those are blackheads or if it's from my dry skin, but meh!

I will never understand why the jawline goes nuts for people on Accutane! Hopefully they go away fast. I never broke out on my jawline before either, maybe once or twice before many years ago.

You're getting there, Taylor! Hopefully all of us are cleared up soon. :)

Day 87

I noticed last night that I am developing a new zit on the left side of my cheek. sad.png Eh...oh well. It hasn't really surfaced yet, but it's pink and I know it's going to get bigger. It looks like it is going to turn into a whitehead. I just hope it doesn't get really big. saywhat.gif

Everything else is still in the lovely process of healing that seems to want to take forever.

Sorry about your cheek zit :(

My chin is freaking out lol, I got 3 new actives while asleep, they're somewhat small which is good, but it looks gross. I also have 4 healing on the other side.. pfft.

The only area that is clear is my forehead <3

My cheeks are okay... not the greatest. The big honker is still healing, and then I have a lot of healers on my cheeks which suck, but at least they aren't actives right? Bleh.

I'm trying to stay positive though!
