Good to hear you appointment went well. So lucky me after I got home from my derm appointment I got 3 new zits. Another damn one on my jaw so now I have one on both sides. One right between my fucking eyes and one on my chin. Excuse the f bomb. I figured it fits well in that sentence because god damn it another group of zits! I swear accutane is playing a cruel joke on me! So I went from having 2 actives at 10:00 am this morning to have 5 by 10:00 pm. The one I got on my jaw is a big one too. Awesome!

I'm glad that your derm said the stomach pain you had yesterday wasn't anything to worry about. I bet you feel relieved about that!

 

I felt a little crazy not being able to go on while at work. I'M SO BAD. Hahaha. UGH wow I am so sorry to hear that you're still breaking out. Accutane needs to stop playing tricks on you. 🙁 I hope they go away fast!

Hey everyone! Taylor is here I had a very unproductive (is that a word?) day! Yay! I woke up at 11, watched a chickflick, ate a huge breakfast, and then watched Supernatural and more movies when my boyfriend came over. He took me out to dinner since he knew I wasn't feeling too upbeat, it was sweet of him

Tomorrow is my derm at 930, and since it takes 45 mins to get there, I'll probably be up by 8 yay! Then I get to work 4-10pm, woohoooo! Haha.

Betsy and Kaydon - thank you for the advice! I'm going to take the placebo pills of the Yaz until sunday, and then sunday night start taking Yaz.. if I have that correct . Either way if my cycle gets messed up I won't be too upset about it.

I tried to take a bath tonight, baddd idea. My dry skin stung so bad while I was soakin in there, I had to get out after 10 minutes and rub moisturizer all over like crazy! This big honker seems to be surfacing... I think that's good cause that mean it's not a huge, giant cyst. I just want it to be a big ole whitehead that surfaces and goes away and leaves me alone! Overall, I had a good day, and can't wait to get Friday and Saturday (work both days) and get to Sunday, my day off .

Payday tomorrow and Taylor will be hitting up Bath & Body Works and Starbucks! I love Starbucks but I spend my money sparingly on it cause otherwise all my money would be gone.

That's weird about the bath! I took a hot bath last night, and didn't have any problem. But my skin is certainly dry. I love moisturizers! 😉

Kaydon your treatment seems to going very well! I wish you the best of luck!

Also, I think the reason for your latest breakout may be because of the dose increase; think of it like another IB. It takes about 5 half-lives of the drug for it to reach a maintenance dose and have it's maximum effect as long as you keep up with the regimen and take the drug as you're supposed to. Accutane's half-life is about 21 hours so it seems like you got your breakout more than 5 days after your dose was upped, so that could be the reason why.

Good news is it'll go away soon! And breakouts will soon be a thing of the past!!!

Yes unproductive is a word! Sometimes those days are the best! Sounds like you had a nice relaxing day. Hope that your derm appointment went well this morning! Sucks that it is a 45 minutes drive! Mine is like 10 minutes maybe a little more. Hopefully you don't need to drive far for the blood work too!

That is weird about the bath!! You must need to moisturize more, a lot more! Sounds like the bath was pretty unpleasant!

Get some good stuff at Bath and Body! I like that store!! I wish I could use their stuff, I breakout in rashes when I use heavy scent things. Bummer

It's super easy to paint my nails. Anybody else getting this? It's pretty awesome! I hope these side effects stick around for a while...

Just know that after all the acne is purged from your skin, you will feel so much better. It's hard to go through, but worth it in every way. The side effects are definitely tolerable (so far). The IB was the hardest part to deal with so far.

Wow that's friggin' awesome! I've been wearing my hair down pretty much every day so I haven't had the chance to put it in a pony-tail. And WOW. I just looked at my cuticles. Where the hell did they go? Hahaha. Kind of neat!

O m g. From my appointment to getting my medicine took 3 hours :/ grrrr.

I get to my derm, blahblahblah everything is good, and then go to do the iPledge questions and have to call the derm because he didn't enter my information yet.. so I waited 45 minutes.. at McDonalds. I ate some of their breakfast though . Then finally I get to my pharmacy, and they say that my derm didn't call it in or anything, so I call them back again, and they say they did just now, so then the pharmacy tells me that I have to wait "a little bit." I end up sitting in their dumb plastic chairs for another 45 minutes! I couldn't go home cause I was already 45 minutes out of my way.. so I finally got it and got to drive back My appointment was at 9:20 and by the time I got home it was 12:30... COOL.

But, I have my 80mg for a month of Accutane and I got my Yaz back I am also on the list where I cannot get generics. I didn't have to pay for my copay of Yaz either cause my derm actually gave me a pack to last me a month.

The good news keeps coming becauseee I thought I had a 6 hour shift tonight, and I don't! Which is awesome cause for some reason I've been headachy, and I'm thinking it's from not drinking coffee.. yes that's how addicted I am .

So I get to watch Supernatural with my baby all night <3 and I am drinking a huge cup of coffee right now.

More good news! *KNOCK ON WOOD* Everything is healing really well. For some reason during this entire course I've only gotten one whitehead on my left cheek and it's been looking great ever since. My forehead is clear as glass! Not literally.. I have a healer, but skin heals like 50 times slower! My right cheek has been taking the beating from Accutane this whole time.. I feel so sorry for my right cheek! I have (counting)... 5 scabs from healing whiteheads, 3 scabs on the right side of my mouth from whiteheads and that big honker that got a bit redder which I don't know if that's good but I just am glad it's the only one I have.

I'm pretty happy with how my face is doing There is a ton of healing yet that needs to happen, but Neosporin will help me. I'm not touching the big one at all, I'm just going to ignore it. Should I name it? Hmm.. I'll name is Bobby. Why not?

It's 88 right now! Crazy! It's supposed to be that all weekkk so I'm going swimming on Sunday! AND SLATHERING ON 20 POUNDS OF SUNSCREEN. My sunburn is all healed up though

Oooo what'd you get from Starbucks? I normally get a Caramel Macchiato, and always want to try something new but afraid I won't like it and having spent 4$ on it..

 

I used to get a toffee nut latte but now I get a grande cafe misto with two pumps of toffee nut syrup. A misto is with coffee instead of espresso - a few less calories and it has more of a coffee flavor, not as sweet either with only two pumps. Sometimes I get a green tea latte with soy milk or a chai tea latte with soy milk - both yum! The chai tea latte with soy milk tastes kind of like pumpkin pie. During the holidays I like to get the pumpkin latte - mmmmmm! My kids like the white chocolate peppermint mocha - you might like that - it's really yummy! My best friend loves the caramel macchiato - I sucked down a venti iced one of those once super fast and almost passed out from all the caffeine, haha!

I want a caribou coffee now! I am a caribou girl I must say. Turtle mochas, best thing ever!! Everytime I have had Starbucks the coffee taste burnt. I've been there 3 times all different locations and it never fails the coffee tastes and smells burnt. I don't know what it is but I've never had look luck there. I notice though people usually go one way either you love Starbucks and hate caribou or you love caribou and hate Starbucks.

I've never heard of Caribou Coffee either! Is it like Starbucks, a coffee shop type place? The only other one we have in town in Barneys and they do not even compare to Starbucks. I've never noticed a burned taste but maybe if I tried a Caribou I would. Hmmmmmmm, I'll have to ask my husband if he's heard of it.
