2 months already!How long will you be on Accutane? I'm sorry if you mentioned that before somewhere in your log, I'm reading it, but it seems I just missed it :]
No worries girl 😉 I will prob be on it for 6 months maybe even longer, I'm taking 40 every other day right now that's why ;-(
Month 2 day 3
Since my dermatitis on my eyes is virtually gone thanks to that steroid that I have to be on in a month I;m going to take my pills every day, if it acts up I will do it every other day. My derm suggested this.
Everything is good still I have one active. Just dry everywhere. Not too dry but dry. I can't wait to see what my skin looks like in 5 months.
I am loving accutane. I forget to tell you guys that literally has never happened to me before in my life. It is not exaggeration.
I was working the other night and this lady who is a regular as I set down her food looked at me and said, you really just have the most beautiful skin and hair.
I smiled and looked at her and was kinda shocked I said honestly you have no idea how much that means to me. Ive had trouble with my skin my entire life. She said, are you serious you would of never guessed. I told her I was on accutane and she was like oh my daughter was on that you look great, she said she got all red.
two nights later another regular commented on my skin, I smiled very humbly and said its accutane.
And today, I hung out with a woman who was basically my second mother growing up. She came into my work for dinner the other night and asked to hang out. I havent seen her in 8 years. It was such a nice surprise to see her. Today she was talking about perkisat giving her itchy skin and I said yeah accutane seems to do that to me too. Shes said youre on accutane I took accutane when I was your age.
I said yeah ive had problems with my skin since you left her jaw dropped and she said the other night i noticed your skin and I thought man her skin is so beautiful.
Its been nice to hear these things I have never heard them. Of course my parents would say it when i asked but never ever have people just come up to me.
You look great and deserve those compliments. Sometimes I get compliments , "oh your skin looks good." But I have so many doubts in my head, i really don't know how to respond. I think theyre just saying it to say it. its almost not possible to get used to such compliments even though you had wished all your life to get such a compliment. I know what you mean. just keep it up and dont take it for granted. Im happy to see you guys as happy as i was when i cleared. i wish you the best Lips
Month 2 Day 5 & 6
I tried taking 40 every day my body can't handle it, so I'm going to have to stick to the every other day regimen. My skin is doing awesome (pimples wise) I'm pmsing and I haven't had a break out. My skin is getting drier which I don't enjoy much but I guess you gotta pay your dues.
Here are this weeks pictures, please keep the comments positive, I've had a rough week emotionally, for me the org is a place to escape from all the bullshit nonsense that goes on in the world and I seem to run into a lot of that on here as well, C'est la vie....

looks like you're sweating like crazy. 20 mg a day is all you'll need. Don't over do it. Your skin is really good.
*laughing* Yeah its the vaseline. I hope this dryness isn't permanent after the course I had my skin being so dry. I don't have any flaking though that people mention, is that weird?
Month 2 Day 7
I'm wondering If I should just ask for 20 mg a day instead of 40 mg every other day. I have two actives on my chin from pmsing. They were weird dry pimples with hard things in the center.

you don't have flaking because you've beein putting on the vaseline. it wouldn't hurt to ask for 20mg. its still effective. And no.. the dryness will definitely not be permanent
