So it's officially week five

I have three huge pimples on my forehead a massive cyst type thing on the side of my jaw and a few small ones next to it in a disgusting cluster. I also have painfull pimples in both corners of my mouth (wtf?) making it painfull and hard to open my mouth. Skin is still dry and flakey. I'm wanting to start aha ASAP but I don't think my skin is fully adjusted since it still burns alot when doing the regime.

Five weeks and four days in:

Still absolutely no results yet breaking out horribly for me any ways have three huge white heads in four head and a bunch if other crap around my chin! My face is so damn dry and flakey it's disgusting. I don't know how much longer I can keep doing this.. I could probably put up with the side affects if it was helping my acne but it is not helping what so ever. Keep in mind I has mild acne when starting this regimen so I think it is fair to assume that I should be having some results by now. I don't expect to be completly perfect anytime soon but this shit is making my skin worse not better not even a little. And yes I am doing everything correctly I've done that quiz like ten times so that is not the issue I just don't think that this will work for my skin.. I will keep going until I figure our what my next nice is going to be or until I get clear (please please please!!) but honestly I'm not expecting thing to clear me as absolutely nothing ever has!

Sorry things seem to be progressing so slowly for you :(

Have you started using the full regimen (with BP) in both the morning and night? That could make the difference for you. You will still deal with flakiness and dryness until you've stopped increasing the amount / frequency of BP. Have you used AHA or jojoba oil to try and help with the dryness? What about possibly switching moisturisers?

Yes I am using the full two pumps of bp morning and night... I also ALWAYS use jojoba oil when moisturizing and I just started using the aha I don't know how often I'm going to use the aha I only have used it once so far I didn't know if it was the right time to start using it since my skin still burns!!!! When applying the regimen and I'm still breaking out badly (for me anyways) I asked this question on a diffenet forum and two people told me not to stat using it but I did anyways!! The breakouts wouldn't be SO bad if my red marks were gone but on top of the red marks (probably 30) just from the last six weeks of using bp!!! I had a few before starting this regimen but nothing like this. Since staring the regimen every single pimple/zit/whatever has turned into a red mark!!! So I'm going to continue to use the aha hoping to get rid of this marks and remove the mask of dead skin I have on my face I will probably use it only every three days or so mixed in with the mousturizer for now. I know I am doing everything right so why am I not getting results on my mild acne??????????????????

Six weeks and one day in:

Face still breaking out a lot a now officially have a pimple on my neck which I have never had before... My face is horrendously dry and red!!! It's been somewhat red up to this point and had always been slightly red before the regimen but now it is like out of control lobster red which is awesome! Red marks are horrible and 90% of them are from being on the regimen.... This really isn't working for me

Six weeks and four days in:

My face felt some what normal today.. Usually I wake up to a flakey mess but my face felt fairly mousturized this morning which is nice.. My face may have started FEELING better but it is definitely not LOOKING any better still breaking out and every single break out is turning into a red mark. I'm really really hoping they heal quickly but the red marks I have had in the past sure as hell didn't most taking about a year to be 80% gone... I'm really wanting to do some sort of lazer/dermabrassion/peel to help this once I am completly clear (if I get completly clear!).

Still breaking out boo

So tomorrow will be week seven for me on the regimen. So far I am very disappointed in my results well the lack if results I have had my face us absolutely horrible I haven't felt this bad about my face in years. Every single pimple I have had in the last seven weeks has turned into a red mark which are worse them the actual breakouts which I only have three right now that may seem like not bad but that's how my skin has always been mild acne but very very stubborn. Honestly I'm so confused as to why this is not working for me? How do people with horrible acne see results in days but I am not seeing any after seven weeks!!

Ok do i read every post You wrote here and what i think personally is that You started With too much BP too soon :(

I Know dan wrote You should be using full amount of BP by week 4 but for me i am at my week 4 now and i still haven't started to use the full amount because i feel Like i have had severe cystic acne before BP which Makes my skin irritated by definition and adding a full amount of BP would only make it worse! I trully hope You haven't given up by now!! I also did not see much improvement myself but i did start seeing in the last few days that my acne has dried up a little and started to transform from inflamed zits to mitesers which i like, and i can also see a lot of red marks Just Like You said! I also think You've said too manny times that your face is red and stingesvand stuff which means it's irritated and i would say that's the reason You are breaking out!! So masne You should Alpe Down With your BP and add more of it only when your face has completely adopted to what You're using! And i would leave Aha out for now because it's adding new products that also irritates your skin :( sorry for the criticism but i Know how hard it is and i really think You should wait a little more, stress a little less and Just be gentle nut Just With your fingers but also With the products You use and the amount! And Just listen to your skin!!

I don't think I went too fast with the bp.. I went even slower then the directions say too but maybe that was too fast for MY skin which is quite sensitive and already dry.. But the dryness and redness and tightness is not so much my problem I would be able to deal with the dryness IF my acne was showing any signs of improment which it has not.. Today is officially week eight or two months in and I am still getting one new zit/pimple/ acne a day... So at a given time I have probably four or five active zits on my face that are healing along with 50+ red marks 90% of them just from this regimen for me the active acne and red marks are a bigger deal then the dryness. The dryness had gone down considerably a few weeks ago but then all of the sudden got worse again a few days ago.. Not sure why possibly just because it's Starting to get colder?? Anyways I'm confident that the dryness will go down to a more manageable level eventually I have read that some people said it took like four months for this to happen, I don't see this regimen ever making me completly clear.. Yes I'm sort of just a bitter person when it comes to my skin as NOTHING has made me completly clear not even three rounds of accutane!! Anyways I definitely will stick it out a few months longer mostly because honestly I don't know what my next move would be with dealing with my acne I really have no more options

I'm proud of you for sticking with it even though results have been slow for you!

You're only 2 months in and it's suggested to try it for at least 3 to 4 months. In my opinion, the more stubborn your acne is to begin with, the longer it will take to improve / clear on the regimen.

It's annoying how slow things go and that the red marks appear more often on the regimen. (Personally, I always had red marks from any breakout before the regimen, so using BP didn't change that for me) But AHA and using sun protection / SPF will help with them. All of this takes time and patience.

Hang in there! :)

OK I read what you wrote and I can see that you are very pesimistic about continuing with BP and I just wanted to say the same thing that Lily said and that is that I am also proud of you for sticking with it especially because it hadn't showed any results by now, but maybe you should try to stick with it until month 3. If it doesn't help by month 3 than it's obviously not working for you and your skin obviously needs something else...and I am also not very satisfied with my skin right now, nor am I satisfied with the regimen right now and I have to say that I did expect it to do something for me by now, but it didn't quite yet...But I am going to stick with it by month 3 for the same reason you did it by now - because I don't know where else to go from here!!

Yeah I'm gunna stick with it a while longer. I really hope to have good results so far not that much. I also really wanna get over the dryness cause that's a big concern right now! I just really wanna be able to wear make up that will go on smoothly cause I haven't wore makeup in icer two months!!

I did not get decent results till after 3 months and now that i am nearing 6 months, my acne is more or lessed controlled. I encourage all of you to give it 3 months minimum and 4 months maximum to see progress. I was about to give up at 3 months and i am so glad i didn't.

Keep your head up!

Nine weeks and six days in

Finally thought I was clearing up as I haven't had a new pimple in about five days... Woke up with four new pimples today so I guess not. Sometimes the breaking out is fairly consists like a new pimple every day then sometimes I'll go a few days with no new breakouts then break out with five new ones on one day it's very weird

That has to be a good sign though! There were a few days where you weren't having new breakouts!

Do you have any photos from before you started the regimen so you can compare then to now? Is it possible even mild improvements are happening but you're just not seeing it? I know there's been times where I didn't think there was any improvement until I looked at old photos. Just a suggestion.

Hope you see more improvements soon!

No photos.. I avoid them at all costs. I don't think there is any improment and I am quiet confident that If there had been I would notice. Most of my more recent break outs have been fairly small wich is someone of an improvement but with that being said the slightly smaller breakouts are taking much longer to heal so I don't know what I think about that.,, I would probably prefer bigger pimples that go away in a day or two instead of slightly smaller that are taking a week or more in some cases to go away... And by go away I mean flatten out... All pimples big and small have been turning into red marks which sucks because if I just had the few pimples that I have on my face and nice even skin tone and no acne scars or red marks I would be really happy lol just dreaming I guess

So today is week ten. I'm happy I have made it this far and really hoping for results soon. So far I would say this regimen has done VERY little to nothing as far as stopping acne and treating acne. I would think that all purging should be done by now? I still get on average one new pimple a day. Sometimes I will go a few days with nothing new then get a few all on one day other times it just a consistently a new one a day. This might not seem that bad to some people and I agree that I'm lucky my skin isn't horrible, I have seen pictures on here of people with sever acne and I feel really bad for those people because I know how much my mild acne bothers me I can't imagine having more sever acne. I do strive towards completly clear skin or pretty close to it. So far I would not say I am anywhere near my end goal. I do hope to get rid or red marks but I know this will take a long time.

As far as side effects on the regimine they are still fairly sever. Applying bp and moisturizer still burns/ stings my face a lot. My face is quiet red at all times but especially the hours after apply the regimine. No matter what I do I still constantly feel like I am wearing a mask. My skin is tight and has a "crust" to it. Being at almost three months I was hoping this would be gone but I am willing to wait a little while longer. I have to slather on so much moisturizer and jojoba that I constantly look like an oily mess. I'm wondering if this will ever go away. I haven't wore make up the whole time being on the regimine and would really like to be able to again.

If my acne and side effects don't go down significantly in the next six weeks ( making it four months) I will not continue with the regimine so I'm really hoping for mirical soon!

Three new pimples today, bad day. At almost eleven weeks in is it safe to say this is not for me?

I don't know

I can't understand why you haven't seen any improvements :(

I'm still getting breakouts but my skin has improved a lot and I don't get as many breakouts as I used to. I do still get breakouts because I don't use the full amount every morning - just some mornings - but always the full amount every night.

Try and stick with it until 4 months. Maybe you really do need to just give it longer

Hang in there!

If you think you have been following the regimen precisely and you really don't see any improvements then maybe it really causes more damage than good. I don't know...Do you think maybe you could be alergic to BP or something? I saw blogs on BP where people were a little alergic to it and then it didn't do much good but it kinda caused even more acne....

That being said, I would advise to you not to count new pimples every morning but just to look at your skin as a whole...because, for example, I went from really bad cystic acne to acne that is still here but it just flattened out a little in 7 weeks I've been on the regimen, which is a clear sign that BP does something good for my skin, although my skin really doesn't look great at all, and it doesn't show any signs of clearing and has more hiperpigmentations than ever....but what I'm trying to say is that although you skin maybe doesn't yet look the way you'd like it to, maybe in whole it does show some improvements, but you just keep on counting new pimples which prevents you to see good sides of what the regimen did for your skin up until now???I mean you didn't post any pictures, so I can't say and you, off coarse know your skin better than anyone and you see how your skin looks, but a lot of people say that they start seeing improvements in their month 3 of the regimen and those don't have to be big improvements, but just the overall state of your skin and then in month 4 they start to clear up...

So in that way I agree with Lily when she says that maybe you should stick with it for another month and if it doesn't start to get better then give it up...But of coarse you know your skin and you know what would be the best for you!

Yeah I get what your saying but how else am I to judge my progress other then number of pimples? The other aspects if my skin have also gone down hill... Dry/flakey (obviously) as well as jts dull and... Ugly lol. I really wish I could see some sort of postive In this situation but I'm not going to just lie to my self (or others reading this log) and say oooooo!! My skin looks great!!! Bacause that would be untrue. I do have hope though planning in giving it at least another month or so before making up my mind all together.
