HEY!
Well recently on a trip to America I bought a bottle of Bye Bye Blemish Drying Lotion. It contains 10% sulphur. So far, so good I guess. It brings out all the crap in pimples which is good!
Has anyone else tried this? If so, let me know how it goes and if its working for you or not...
Cheers!
I've tried another brand of drying lotion before. It just dries the zit or takes out the water. It worked for me for a couple of days but after that it didn't work anymore. I don't know if I'd recommend it though since it could lead to scarring. Frankly, I don't know what to do with active zits. If I leave it alone, it collapses in on itself and leads to scars. If I pop it, it also scars. I really don't have a clue anymore. That's why preventing zits is better. BP seems to dry out the BP at first but on active zits it isn't that effective. I tried putting Panoxyl ( a brand of BP ) on my zit but the zit got burnt. The area got dark and dry. A few days later, it started to peel. The peeling lead to scarring.
My dermatologist used to prick my zit with a sharp sterilized needle. It reduces the chances of getting large scars but the only problem was that after the procedure, the site would get inflammed. The inflammation would last for days and after it died down, I'd get scars and redness that literally takes years to go away. The scars are a lot smaller though compared to just leaving the zit all alone until it collapses in on itself.
I'm so frustrated because I have an active large zit and I don't know what to do with it. I'm doomed.
I've tried the BBB and it didn't work at all...What i have found that works is BP(i use Pro Activ) and if i feel one comming on i use Zycam-it's actually a product for colds(it's the single use q-tip type application), but for some reason it helps w/redness and inflammation. I only use this as a spot treatment and it does work quickly. Hth!
