Sulfur is the best alternative to BP. My daughter washes with black soap and uses Lumiplexion sulfur clearing medication. She had moderate acne at one point, and her marks are all but gone. It does take time though. Make sure you're using sunscreen too. Marks will not fade as fast if you're exposing your skin to the sun unprotected.

Have you tried AHA+? This works great to speed up the fading of red marks, although like the above poster says, they'll fade on their own even if you do nothing. My son began incorporating AHA+ into his regimen a couple of months ago...cleared up the red marks on his forehead beautifully.

Good luck with whatever you decide! :)

I have the AHA from the site and use it over top of the benozyl once every couple of nights? is this about right? red/brown marks are my biggest problem and apparently benozyl worsens them a lot and makes it a lot harder to for them to fade so i've been thinking about using benozyl less often or finding and alternative

Products with tea tree oil may help.

Products containing niacinamide are particularly good for clearing up, and preventing, post acne red and brown spots and discoloration. From personal experience, it works fairly quickly too.
