Hi. Iam new here. I had just bought neutrogena oil free cleanser a few days ago. And now woke up with a rash itchy Bumps. Is this milia? What is in it thats causing this so i can avoid all products?

Iam 37- My skin is tough, acne scarring, acne prone skin. Since 13yrs old

 

Using. Retin-a. And neutrogena rapid wrinkle night lotion (not allergic) for months. Along with philosophy microderm scrub.

My friend actually had a similar reaction to a different Neutrogena face wash. It could be the fragrance? Often that can cause allergic reactions in those with sensitive skin.

That is a medicated acne wash. Don't use it, as it will not work. You're just washing the active ingredient (Salicylic Acid 2%) down the drain. It also contains dyes and fragrances, which may have caused the reaction. A regular, gentle cleanser is all you need.

I've read this theory, and I have to say that I personally disagree with it. If you massage your cleanser into the face (which would mean it's sitting on your face for ~1 minute), then the SA can absolutely help at least in SOME way. If it were true that it was completely useless in a cleanser, then my current regimen wouldn't have cleared me up. I do agree that topical SA/BHA is ideal for blackheads (no facewash is going to eliminate your blackheads), but that doesn't mean cleansers with it are completely useless. JMO!
