Low molecule Hyaluronic Acid found in certain serums can actually penetrate the skin and will help hydrate your skin from within, which will aid in helping your skin detoxify, decongest, and brings down the inflammation caused by the breakouts. Vitamin C is a powerful anti oxidant and anti inflammatory. It is used by people of all ages to battle free radicals and all forms of skin damage caused by environmental stresses as well as biological stresses. Bear in mind that topical products are important and effective only if you do the necessary prior to applying them. By that I mean, regular and gentle exfoliation, an excellent cleanser, a clarisonic brush with the gentle acne brush sold separately, a biweekly glycolic acid peel, a retinoil cream used regularly in the evenings, and watch what you eat. Please avoid sugar and junk food, including fried foods, drink vegetable and citrus juices and lots of water, foods containing zinc are supposed to help prevent acne break outs, that would be grains like lentils and beans, and last but not least avoid the sun, the sun causes your already compromised sebhoric glands to inflame and get more irritated. Good luck.
