Azelaic Acid - Is This Possible?

Hello!

A few years ago I used Finacea and loved it because it completely cleared my skin, then stupid me stopped using it and then changed products so my face broke out again like crazy (I couldn't afford Finacea so regularly as well). A few months ago I purchased another Azelaic Acid product (20% Azelaic Acid) and I'm finding it isn't working as good so now I repurchased Finacea.

My question is: Is it possible that Finacea (despite being only 15% in comparison) could actually work more effectively on my skin than the other 20% product? I've used the 20% one for a few months and noticed improvement but not as much as what I remember Finacea acheiving. Finacea also burns and itches compared to the 20% which I experienced no side effects at all? Why would the 15% Finacea tingle and itch a little when I've been using the 20% AA for so long?

Hopefully I've hope that despite being the same ingredient, the formulation and concentration of the Azelaic Acid actually makes a difference because Finacea so far seems to be working much more quicker and my marks are fading quite consistently :)

Any insight is appreciated, for your information the other product is Ego's Azclear (Australian brand) which is only $10 compared to the $30 price of Finacea...

Unfortunately small differences in brands can make a difference in effectiveness. However, there usually is little reported difference between 15% Finacea and 20% Skinoren.

If you are getting Skinoren online, though, you may not be getting a real product, just a moisturizer in a bottle. Your face should itch slightly with Skinoren as well. Since you can't get Skinoren compounded in the US, I would recommend switching to a more reputable online pharmacy if you can't afford Finacea.

Oh, and I just noticed you are using Azclear. I would switch to Skinoren, it's much more reputable, and was done in many studies alongside Finacea with the same results. I can't comment on the effectiveness of Azclear.
