Hey guys

Has anyone ever tried Pernox cleanser?

I saw my derm last night and he suggested

that I try it. Most of my problem is clogged

pores and he said that this could help.

So... anyone have any information about it?

Thanks!

It has sulfur in it. It has a pretty strong masking fragrance to counter act the sulfur smell. I think it has salicylic acid in it as well. I could be wrong about that. I really didn't like the smell, kinda old ladyish. If you can find the lemon fragranced one I heard it smells better. Also use it very gently it a scrub/cleanser.

Oh wow, I used that a loooong time ago. That was before I understood much about acne. Mine is inflammatory, and grainy scrubby cleansers just made it worse, and I'd keep using them thinking that eventually I would clear up. But the truth is, for inflammatory acne, I would not use it. But if you just have clogged pores it may work just fine.

Hmmm, I guess that makes me realize I am a little clueless

about what is going on with my skin. I have tiny little bumps

that my derm says is the result of clogged pores. Very few

actually become red pimples. It's just that I have so many of

the tiny bumps, though some days are better than others. I'm

guessing by inflammatory acne you mean red, maybe painful

acne? I suppose I'm just not sure how to categorize what I

actually have. I certainly don't want to make things worse.

I also don't want to smell like an old lady! Not that there's anything

wrong with that...

:)

Hi Everyone.  I'm a long time Pernox user and have tried every product recommended to replace it since they discontinued it.  Happy to say that PERSONOX,  a new product created by a former user, is a very satisfactory alternative to old school Pernox.  I first bought a sample, then a tube.  Now, after using it for a month, I just ordered 3 more out of fear that this one will disappear, too.  I found it on Ebay.  I'm so happy to have my facial regime back.
