Hey everyone,

Ive been using the Acne.org regimen, including AHA+, and Ive noticed how much more sensitive my skin is to the sun. I'm going to be exposed to the sun more for a vacation to the beach, and Im wondering if its better to stop AHA completely for this trip.

I know AHA is supposed to help with hyperpigmentation, but Ive also heard that using it while in the sun a lot could actually make hyperpigmentation worse. Would it be safer to pause AHA for a while and just use BP and moisturizer instead? Or is it fine to keep using AHA as long as I wear sunscreen?

Would love to hear your thoughts or experiences with this!

Thanks!

You can pause the AHA. It does make the skin more sensitive to the sun. It's powerful. If you don't pause using it, yes, use sunscreen, and I would recommend a wide-brimmed hat. I like hats a lot for sun protection.

Pro Tip: If you are using the new Acne.org Treatment with ultra-micronized particles, it's so effective now, you might be able to forgo AHA completely not just for this trip, but altogether.
