FLAKING - 2-3 weeks

PLEASE does anyone have a fairly quick cure for the flaking? Alternate moisturizer or added products? I know my skin is just getting used to the BP, but the moisturizer is clearly not doing enough. Yes I use it two times a day at two full pumps. I almost feel like I'd rather have the acne because at least I can cover it up with makeup, but flaking is really impossible to hide. I don't like talking to people and knowing that they're staring at my flakes; sure the same goes for acne, but it feels like it's one or the other...and acne is easier to hide.

I have the jojoba oil and haven't added 5-6 drops to my moisturizer as recommended, but I heard of someone putting it on either before treating or after alone and I wasn't sure what worked. Also, does Cetaphil's regular lotion really work that well in treating flakes?

Unfortunately we all have to deal with flakes. Some people exfoliate gently with jojoba oil to remove the flakes but for me all you can really do is moisturize. You can add more throughout the day if your skin looks dry. And yes, mix a few drops of jojoba oil to your two pumps of moisturizer and apply it after the BP has dried.

Also, I love the cetaphil lotion. I only use it as my night time moisturizer though because my face would look so greasy in the AM if I did that.

To be honest the acne.org moisturizer isn't very good in my opinion at moisturizing after BP, i flaked like CRAZY. I switched to cetaphil lotion its a little more greasy but not that bad to be honest but it takes most of the flakes away for me i still have tiny couple but that's okay. Or any other lotion is great long as it hydrates you and doesn't flake you and doesn't break you out. Finding a good moisturizer can be very hard :/

Same problem - do you keep using the BP even when the area if flaking? I have a couple of spots around there too so I've been trying to just put it on the spots and not the flakes. I'm in the 2nd week - does anyone know if the flaking lasts - is it just temporary?

I'm using cetaphil too. It hides flakes pretty well, but my face burned after applying it. It would continue to burn after application, and start to itch when the burning sensation went away. Now my face looks 80% clear, but the skin under my eyes look red and swollen - looks like I'm a victim of domestic violence and have been crying all night. I know that it should go away in a while, but I'm having a very hard time coping with the burning and itchiness.
