8 Weeks, I Still Breakout

SO it's been around 8 weeks i'm into the regimen. My acne improved a lot , especially at the beginning. I don't get any new cyst, and less pimples in general.. (while i still have all the whiteheads blackheads on nose/ Chin, but that was predictable) . The matter is that I still breakout. Everyday i get little pimples, mostly (90%) on my cheeks. It's not as bad as before I started but still, 8 weeks have gone and I thought breakouts should have stop within the first weeks, and then the redness was the main problem.

I don't know, what do you think? IS it normal, and I have to wait longer? Or it's not normal? Is there something in my routine that slightly irritates maybe? My diet is very healthy as well, i eat veggies, pretty much no junk, just some fruit juice after workout to get quick carbs.

But I do eat Gluten ( 2 to 4 pasta/bread/oat/rice serving a day, but beacuse i need a high caloric intake) and dairy. If there's actually a problem behind my breakouts( idk if it's normal) do u think i should try quit Dairy and reduce gluten? and change my products? I followed acne.org guide to buy them.. it kinda depresses me, cuz i was expecting a much better skin at this point when i started..

- My acne was moderate, Oily skin i THink.:rolleyes:

Hi! Yes this is normal, it can take up to 2-4 months to see full results, I have been on it for awhile and I still break out but my acne has decreased sooo much!

Are you using the full regimen? I.e. Aha & Jojoba oil?

I have oily skin, and started using the jojoba oil and my skin has improved so much more.

Yeah, I use a moisturizer with Jojoba oil as second ingredient (Sadly Cocoa butter as 4th too)

I'll wait then, thanks for the reply :)

I had been using the regimen for 12 weeks and my acne just kept getting better in the spots it started in but spreading down my temples, onto my jaw, up around my mouth and the finally onto my cheeks so I decided BP just isn't for me. It did help a little but my face did not come even close to clear. The regimen isn't for everyone. It's a very frustrating process finding what's right your own skin but keep trying! I'm now using a homemade face mask with egg whites, raw honey and lemon once a day and campho phenique twice a day while still washing my face with the regimen cleanser. So far my acne seems to have gotten better in the first week and my scars are even lighter!:) Good luck finding what's right for you!
