So I'm thinking about starting The Regimen, but I've seen a lot of posts about the lotion causing some sort of strange tanning effect. Or maybe it's the BP due to sun exposure. Either way, has anyone experienced this with the acne.org products? If so, would you be willing to post a picture so I can see what it looks like?

Thank you!

It's the lotion that makes you look yellow. Just buy another moisturizer or just use the Acne.org moisturizer at night and you should be fine.

Hey, I've noticed this whilst using the acne.org products, I think it goes away once your skin adjusts to the BP, because I stopped using the moisturizer for a while and nothing changed. It's the drying of the skin that makes it seem darker. Using Jojoba oil usually helps exfoliate the skin and gets rid of it:)

Skin darkening in the beginning is almost always due to the skin getting overly dried out. You can minimize this by easing into it gradually and being very generous with the moisturizer and jojoba oil. If you can actually "see" the moisturizer on your skin, you are either not massaging it into the skin and it is sitting on top, or you may be using too much. Take the time to gently rub it in so that it completely disappears into the skin. If that doesn't work, try using less. If that still doesn't work feel free to try a different one from our list of recommended products.
