I am almost done with my 3rd week using the Regimen. I have a couple questions for those of you who have been faithful to this system. A few things about me:

*I am 22 years old.

*I only get acne on my chin and jawline. I was told by the dermatologist that it was hormonal acne and could only be taken of with birth control.

*I have sensitive skin.

I have tried dozens of other products including such lines as Mary Kay. So far I have been really pleased with acne.org's products. My skin looks clean (besides still being a tad dried out) except for my chin. If anything I feel like my chin has broken out more. The pimples don't last as long, but they are still there. Here are my 2 questions:

1. For those of you with hormonal acne- did the Regimen work for you? Should I continue faithfully?

2. Is it wise to wear makeup with the Regimen? Does it cause a problem?

Thank you!

Hey gradgirl,

This is a good question. I have hormonal acne around my chin jawline. I have been using the regimen for 3 months now. It worked for me in that gradually I am getting less breakouts in these areas. More info about me: I am 29, get mostly cystic acne and mostly on my cheeks. I also do both diet and The Regimen to since I get hormonal acne.

I read a post by someone who really gave the nitty-gritty truth about getting results on The Regimen. She said dont expect results until about 2-4 months in. I am a witness it gets worse or doesnt seem to be doing enough and then suddenly you can see and feel a change. Its like training for a sport you have to stick with it and just when it seems you can't go any further you have to keep pushing.

Can't help with the make up; I really want to try some myself but the makeup I've tried highlights how dry my skin is. I also would like more info.

Hi, I'm in the same boat... I started the Regimen in December and also decided to get off birth control a couple of weeks ago.Up until going off the pill, my skin was quite clear, I was dealing more with old scars... Recently, I've been breaking out more along the jaw line, and although it's not what I was hoping for, the Regimen is still working.

The breakouts along my jawline have been more cystic, but overall my skin has cleared up dramatically, and I can tell that even with these hormonal breakouts they aren't sticking around for much longer.

I try to abstain from wearing makeup, unless I have a lot of redness, which in that case I'll use concealer. However, I've noticed when I don't use makeup the breakout heals faster. I also just started taking vitamins specifically geared towards skin health. My sister was trying out the Mary Kay line, and she's seen my results and has decided to try the Regimen. I'm going to stick with it, The Regimen is the only thing that has actually prevented new acne from forming.
