Burning Peeling And Flakiness

I'm currently in my third week of the regimen.

I'm from Europe and importing dan's products is extremely expensive for me because of shipping and customs tax so I had to make do with store bought products.

I use Johnson's from Head to Toe as a cleanser

Benzaknen 5% gel as my BP (unfortunately no 2.5% is available)

Balea Aqua Serum as my moisturizer (I also tried using Nivea soft but it seemed to cause breakouts)

Anyway the BP seems to be holding the acne at bay a few breakouts here and there and lots and lots of old red marks are on my face.

The problem is I experience a strong burning sensation on my cheeks and experience lots of dryness and flakiness and even skin peeling in the morning.

Is it because the BP gel is too strong? I'm using about half a finger's length of it twice a day.

Honestly my skin looks terrible at the moment, extremely dry and red marks everywhere and flakes, I'm ashamed to go outside looking like this.

Please do you have any advice for me? Should I just stop with this?

Try doing the regimen just once a day. If it is very cold and dry where you are it may just be too much for your skin to do twice a day. My sons dropped down to just once a day after too much irritation and redness with the harsh winter; once a day may not be as completely effective as twice a day, however, inflammation just leads to more acne.

Thank you for your response. I guess I'll switch to only putting it on at night.

I'm worried that zits will pop up back again though 🙁

I've heard that clindamycine + BP is a nice combination. Do you think it would irritate my skin too much if I put clindamycine lotion in the morning and BP at night?
